Don't forget a lot come straight out of the ground. -
Clipping was restricted to hammered coins which by design were very thin.

Hi OG The correct weight is 28.2759g. I will try and find the link to the Chinese manufacturers site tonight.

One of the coins the Chinese produce is the 1822 crown. I was looking at the Alibaba.com site the other day. There was an actual thread on Coincommunity recently.

Dexy's a fine band. Whilst visiting a pal at Swansea Uni this was played in the student union bar and everybody jumped on the tables. -
Pick the best out of Tesco's although we never pay cash...They do have them. The local village PO is the best...but who wants this modern c***.?

There is money to be made. Good luck to them. Thanks for pointing it out and well done on the research. -
There are some from a dealer/ebay/fair just don't hesitate. Your eye for what you want is all that matters.

I always start with a Ricard and a dozen oysters. After my 5th course Mrs Peter rolls me home/back to the gite/hotel. I do like France...yes I have said it.

Now just the neat handwriting. Mine is neater after a quaff of red...well it seems to be.

I would go for the adhesive 2x2's after trying the cheaper staple ones. Especially if you intend to put into folders which take 2x2's
-
I bought my acetone from ebay. Use a cotton bud on tarnished areas if you are not happy with the coin.Rinse and pat dry. Best to experiment on some junk coins. Don't clean your 6d...looks nice.

I remember going on courses the NW in the late 80's and the house prices were so cheap. I think Robbie Fowler bought half of Liverpool. -
I do like getting value. We have started using Aldi for shopping. The quality is good especially for fruit and veg. Same with coins I shop around. It is part of the enjoyment.
-
Part of the attraction is tracking down coins for a good price. OK I have over paid sometimes but they were must haves.

Looks like a cast copy. Probably bought from a museum shop for £1. -
I think the best fair is at the NEC bike museum. 12 fairs per year and a biggie every 3 months. We usually stay in Coventry in a decent hotel with a pool. A meal the night before and a good breakfast plus I'm back by 3pm and home by 6ish. I wish I was still single We all love our wives and daughters...don't we

Dealers are generally brilliant. Always talk there is a lot to learn. Enjoy the fair and do a couple of circuits. See what is about.I do love coin fairs.

Dave Take the foot off the loud peddle and reduce the BP. I have a springer on my feet and a feral cat who likes to sleep on the back of my chair(half on my head) Both snore...and maybe I do too. -
I started off with date runs. I've achieved it but now go for types. It is a bit like only liking blonds...I like all women....well most. I do need a bite of intelligence and civil behaviour...and a cheeky grin.
-
I have Goddards silver dip, acetone and verdi care. Just don't over do it. Cotton buds and distilled water can help you on the way.
