  1. I have 3 of these coins and haven't a clue which country they are from. There doesn't seem to be any dates on them. If somebody knows what they are, I would be grateful.
  2. Thanks once again Chris for your expertise
  3. Thanks for helping. I would say the other two are in worse condition lol.
  4. I have 3 Cartwheel pennies but they are so dirty you can't see the date or the picture on the front but there is a faint picture of Britannia showing on the back. Is there a market for such coins?
  5. I have two George 111 gold sovereigns dated 1819 and 1820. Both are not in excellent condition as they have some verdigree on them. Anyone any idea what they might be worth?
  6. Oh well it's well worth knowing I've got a load of rubbish. There's lots more where those came from, I have a box full of different ones.
  7. Thanks Chris, I'm still not doing very well How about this one?
  8. I'm not having much luck am I.? Please tell me this is not a forgery. I think it is a 1799 halfpenny.
  9. I would never want to sell something that I didn't think was authentic. I might put this coin on but tell the truth on my findings. Somebody might still want to buy it. I have two other coins which are supposed to be guinnea and half guinea. Now I'm wondering if these are forgeries as well.
  10. Thanks just the same and you have saved me making a fool of myself on ebay as I wouldn't want to deceive anybody.
  11. I thank you for your help. I think it must be a shilling also as the reverse is nothing like pictures of gold sovereigns I have researched. Could it still be worth something?
  12. I really can't think they are fakes as they have been in the family for generations. Can you tell me were brass coins minted in 1819/1820?
  13. Maybe they are brass. I have one dated 1819 and one dated 1820
  14. I have two George 111 spade gold guineas and am thinking of putting them on ebay. One is dated 1791 and measures 20mm diameter. It has a bit of verdigris on it. The other one is dated 1788 and measures 17mm diameter and has also verdigris on it. Both coins have a small hole on the top. I have no idea of their value can anyone advise.
