Shilling 1920. Where is the difference between Spink 4023 and 4023A
Andriulis replied to Andriulis's topic in Beginners area
thanks Rob -
In my opinion it's a bit worse than it was previously. I would say - it needs more cleaning... IMHO

I think you are not quite right. If you are ticking visibility on ebay.com, that means your listing will be visible without searching on ebay.com. But if not, as in this case, you can see this listing only when searching. It's nothing to do with sending to countries. About sending there are only shipping options, not visibility.

One more case about Centles. How can it be MS62 with such horrible corrosion? http://www.ebay.com/itm/JERSEY-1881-1-12-SHILLING-AVERAGE-UNCIRCULATED-BROWN-ONLY-75-000-MINTED-/380909791483?pt=US_World_Coins&hash=item58affe28fb#ht_1448wt_1362

I think it used to be easier to select which countries you wanted to list/ sell to on eBay. I gather that now it costs if you want your listing to appear on ebay.com. And when I last looked it was simple enough to select worldwide sales but tedious to try to then say except Russia, China, etc.. So now I just list and assume it's UK only. It's laziness I guess. But simpler this way. Just out of interest John, I didn't actively select any particular countries with my latest listing. I just followed what eBay told me! Can you view it? And does it say I whether I'd sell to Aus? (151291713149) . Hello, it's actual to Lithuania too. When looking straight to this listing I can see, that you are posting only to UK. Anyway, I can bid on it. And when searching, it's findable. So, there are only contacting seller on shipping rate issue.

Couple Of Questions About Elizabeth Ii Farthings
Andriulis posted a topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
Hello, could anyone help in my trying to understand British coins, please? I do have two questions about farthings of queen Elizabeth II: 1. What symbolize cross in the beginning (end) of legend on obverse? 2. Why wren was chosen as reverse design for farthings? Thanks P.S. Sorry for my bad English - that's not my native language. -

Couple Of Questions About Elizabeth Ii Farthings
Andriulis replied to Andriulis's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
On Elizabeth II coins the legend goes all the way around the edge and is mostly in latin. The cross is a simple way of indicating the start and end of he legend for us lot that don't read latin.......maybe. I've thought about this, but there are some mismatches: 1. + used on all coins but crowns. Why not on crowns? There are free place for that in legend, but it is free. 2. It's natural to start reading from top, i.e. name of queen. All other separators between words are dots. So, why not in that place? That's my first steps in English coins, so, I try to understand them. -
Hello, need Your help with information about Ebay. Does enybody know something about why all the sellers on ebay.com and ebay.co.uk are not shipping to Lithuania (starting from October)? I think, that's some ebay trick, becuse sellers I've asked didn't know that they are not shipping.

Half penny 1807 grade
Andriulis replied to Andriulis's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
First, it's against law. Second, they are likely to get stolen, as you say. Third, many sellers don't wanna send coins to East Europe states, Lithuania too. Pluss my financial situation is not so good, that I ought pay for coin and for post. It's expensive when you buy only one coin. Maybe in the future... -
Half penny 1807 grade

Fine is about right and should only cost a pound or two. It is common enough to not buy it and pay a little bit more for a good one. -
Thanks
