  1. Hi I have recently been offered an 1875 Queen Victoria 1/4 Rupee. The Coin is in A-UNC condition, a fabulous piece. Unfortunately my standard catalog of world coins for this period has been delayed in the post and am limited on time (i have until 6pm tomorrow). Could anyone advise me on a catalogue value for this coin??? Also available is an 1893 Argentinian "Dos Centavos" in excellent condition with retained lustre (would grade approx EF). Any help on a rough guide price for this would be appreciated too!!! Cheers Richard P.S He also has a coin which i know nothing about....It is a "Carolus III Hispanarium" coin of 1765, and measures approx 9-11mm in diameter, silver, which is again in excellent condition. Can't find this coin anywhere, so any advice on what it is along with an estimated value in min VF condition would be appreciated. A tricky one in know, but i'm sure there's a genuine expert out there!!! MANY MANY THANKS
  2. Hi Should have posted this with last topic... I also have a 1993 Isle Of Man £5 Coin depicting Nigel Mansell's 1992 Victory in the F1 championship. I have discovered is struck from Verinium??? Was wondering what this is and wether it carrys any great value as a collectors piece?? Is it a special mintage lot, or just a standard circulated issue?? Any info again on possible value would be great. Thank you Richard
  3. Hi Starting to feel like a bit of a free-loader, but i have a query on a couple more coins that were left to me. I have been left a 5 Yuan commemorative Marco Polo Chinese coin which i have been able to research as a mintage of 30,000, struck in 0.900 silver and weighing 15g. However i have also been left a 1994, Rembrandt commemorative 10 yuan coin of similar type and was wondering if anyone had information about silver content, & mintage numbers. Both coins are in capsules and are of excellent quality. I have also been left an Australian 1 dollar Kangaroo coin with Certificate Of Authenticity stating coin details (weight, size, silver content etc), but am struggling to find out mintage numbers as some put it as low as 15,000 and others as high as 73,000. I am also wondering if i am right in thinking that this was the 1st year the australia mint released these silver proof coins?? If anyonecan help, along with ANY idea of what i might get at a reputable dealer should i wish to sell that would be great. Still undecided about wether to hold on to them or not (advice again??) Thank you very much all for you time & assistance.. Richard

    Threepence/Maudy.... Which is it?

Really have to work on my spelling!!! Gist of it is... how does one go about distinguishing differences in 3d & maundy 3d Coins?? Cheers
  5. HI After a very successful reply about a previos query i was wondering if people could helpl me on another.... I know this is probably basic level stuff that people have answered 100's of times before, but is there any definite was of telling the difference between a standard threepence, and a maundy 3 pence. I would take it the 1, 2 & 4 are fairly easy as there doesn't seem to be many around for standard circulation, but the 2 pence has me flummoxed!!! Any tips on spotting maundy 3d's??? Cheers Richard

Turks & Calicos 5 Crown Coin?

Thank you both very much... Not one i've bought, one that was left to me... but looks like it'll keep as anovelty if nothing else. Very much appreciated all... thank you
  7. Hi I have just discovered a 1993 Elizabeth II Coin from Turks & Calicos... It is in uncirculated condition (no marks) and is cased!!! But the value lists it as a "5 Crown" which is a value i have not come across before. Was wondering if anyone could shed any light on this, along with any information on it's possible trade or even retail value would be excellent!!! I can provide a picture if it helps but would take a few days. Please let me know Thanks Incuerpo
