That looks like a distinct trace of 2nd line on the LHS? Yes, a very faint mark.... I don't know what happened to the rest of the line.... with the partial line indicated -

here is my 1739 -
I'm on my cell phone.. small screen, however I concur...I see nothing to indicate a beaded border on either side... The reverse is toothed and the obverse appears to be the same... I can't determine the Freeman number from the images though... If I was forced to hazard a guess though, I would lean towards an F-13.... Poor quality coin and small screen conspire against me... I've just taken a closer look on a larger screen and indeed the obverse does appear to be a round bead border making the coin an F-8 although I can not be 100% sure from the images....... A VERY POOR and undersireable specimen though.... if indeed it is that variety after all....

1694 Halfpenny BRITANNI\A
Bronze & Copper Collector replied to Michael-Roo's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
Fascinating provenance.... E. Bramah (He wrote an early work on copper) C. W. Peck (He wrote the last definitive work on copper along with the first major study of bronze) A nice coin to have for that alone. -
The paypal portion of the refund is actually a refund of the fee that you paid to paypal for the excess portion of the funds paid to you... Paypal is not actually paying any portion of the refund.. It is just your money being refunded to you..

Query on 1860 bronze penny
Bronze & Copper Collector replied to Greaves's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
Freeman obverse 4..... he doesn't differentiate between the fishtail cut or the central cut ribbon.... GOUBY obverse G... LCWYON below bust with central cut ribbon.... Again, there are subvarieties which I can't determine on the small screen... But Satin-18 or Gouby-S is probable... -

1860 Farthing Mule, TB/BB For Sale
Bronze & Copper Collector replied to RLC35's topic in Items For Sale
How about this one...Narrow Date 1877... http://www.ebay.com/itm/351126699331?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT I sent them a message, along with pictures of what a Narrow Date looks like, and the President of the Company wrote me back saying he was taking the information to NGC. That was two weeks ago, and he still has it for sale. BTW...every other dealer here in the states has one or two 1860's marked as mules...and they are not a mule! They don't let the truth get in the way of a good sale! I emailed at least 2 years ago about that same slab.... It's been in their monthly auctions all that time till it finally got moved to ebay.... I have one slabbed just like it as well as a misattributed "with colon" variety (I forget if it's an 1841 or an 1843).... -

Can't see too clearly as I'm on my cell phone.. However, indications from what I can see, are that it is a Freeman obverse 4 , with LCWYON under Victoria's bust... -
