    Help With 1967 Pennies

Chris, Many thanks for your reply and for your very kind offer. Knowing that you have 'given a coin with a book' before doesn't make our idea sound so daft. Please contact me so we can sort out delivery and costs my email is hoyd@btinternet.com Regards
  2. I read a posting about 1967 pennies and how they are so common and unwanted that people couldn’t sell or get rid of them. My brother and I are due to publish a book on the history of our local market and thought that if anyone wanted to be rid of their 1967 pennies then we could actually give one away with every book – perhaps with a printed text explaining what could have been bought for 1d at various points in history. Of course this would depend on us being able to obtain enough coins (say 250-500). Obviously, in giving them away we wouldn’t want to pay more than shipping costs but thought it may be a way of actually doing something useful with unwanted coins. I stress that we would NOT be selling them and that they would be given away FREE. You can email me if you Click here! or you can read about us if you Click here!
  3. Hi Everybody. I’m not a coin collector and only joined you all here after reading these postings about the 1967 pennies. Around May/June we will be publishing our history of our local Market and thought it may be a good idea to give a penny away with every copy (about 500) – perhaps with something to say what could have been bought for 1d at various points in time. So, if anyone is willing to unload their coins on us I’m sure we could put them to good use. If anyone is in the Greater Manchester area we could arrange a pick up. From elsewhere, lets see what delivery charges would be. I add again, that they WILL be given away FREE. You can read about who we are when you Click here! or email direct Click here!
