Milled English Silver Coins from 1816 in High Grade
  1. Where is that 1952 English shilling?

  2. I had the pleasure to meet a coin dealer called ''Paul Wincott'' some years ago and wondered if he's still on the coin scene? He used to deal in 'high grade' silver coins from what i remember and saw him at a London Coin fair. Does anyone know what he's doing nowadays please?
  3. Would like to know why the 2011 50p coins for 2011 are already in circulation?
  4. Hi, Why we're on this subject can anyone say how many 1984 1/2p coins were minted? Not sure if they went into circulation though. Terry
  5. Do you have access to the Norweb catalogues?

Hi Alan, Can you tell me what metal detecting equipment are you using? ie: Metal Detector make & model, headphones etc etc...... Regards Terry
  7. So does anyone know where this coin is now, and whether it has come up for sale in the last few years?
  8. Yes, possibly 'silver' as well. Never hear of any coming up for sale though!!
  9. Hi, I'm a newbie member, but have been collecting British coins since childhood. I thinks that maybe your best option is to invest in some books on this subject. There are books on British Coin values which also explain ''coin grading'' and would be invaluable to a new collector. And of course you can come back to this forum and ask fellow more experienced members for advice before making an expensive purchase. Hope this helps, Terry

  11. Can any member give me any information on the 1973 EEC 50p ''PIEDFORT'' coin that was issued to VIP's please?
  12. Hi, Does anyone have any information on this rare coin? I understand that only 2 exist and one of these is in the royal collection. What i do know is that it was in a NGC type capsule and sold about 10-15 years ago and went to a North American collector. Be most grateful if anyone has any new information. Terry
  13. Hi, I'd be interested if the coin is 'mint' and a sensible price. Terry
