  1. Thank you for the information, any idea on value?
  2. It is the same size as a £2.00 coin of that year, weighs roughly 7grams. Definate fake?
  3. After taking someones advice here I got more information regarding my coin. Cheap foreign labour was often used in the making of these coins - my coin is not listed in the errors. It is a William III Halfpenny coin with GVLIEMS instead of GVLIEMVS (common error I know) It also has BRITANEIA instead of BRITANNIA. (This is not listed) Can anyone give me a rough value please? The coin is quite worn but the errors can be seen clearly.
  4. I have a George III very small silver coin - dont know if its Maundy or 1 penny?
  5. Have you got a value on it please Chris?
  6. ok Thank you. How do I go about getting it listed?? I have been in touch with coin news and Spink and am awaiting a reply (though I wont hold my breath with Spink). These coins are my fathers and he wants them selling which is why I asked. I always look at the coins carefully - just incase. I listed a 1926 penny for a BIN price of £1.00 - I realised my mistake and took off the BIN and got £30.00 for it...Thanks to your site. I am very grateful for all the help I get in here! You're doing the right stuff so far. And if there is to be a revision to Peck done by Rotographic, then you're in the right place here to get it recorded in the "bible" of copper coins! When you get it back from Spink (with or without their helpful comments) you could ask ChrisP if he'd like to see it? Gouby is another guy though this might be outside his specialist area. Did you get any response from Coin News? Not as yet but did have a reply from Tony Clayton. Have emailed Spink but not sent coin as yet, dont know where to send it??Their site isnt very user friendly lol

  8. Ok Thank you for your help. I knew about the second error...I have a few books and they have all stated the error but the Britaneia is not stated. I will get in touch with Spink. Thank you so much.
  9. This is a William III halfpenny dated 1700 - in a very worn condition. The picture below shows the end of Britannia (rev)- it reads Britaneia instead?? I cant find any info on this. Also (obv) it reads GVLIELMS instead of GVLIEMVS
  10. This Farthing has a dot in BRITT making it BRI.TT Is this a common error please?
  11. Can anyone identify these coins for me please? The smaller coin is a gold colour. The larger coin I think could be a token??
  12. That is the problem I hit. I couldnt find any listing for it at all. Did you manage to see the small 7 under the date at all? I have bugged everyone who came in my house this last week to look at it lol. Thank you for checking it out Scott.
  13. I have searched for references to various flaws/die breaks etc. The heaton mint mark is below the date, I couldnt see it properly so I scan the coin. When the date is enlarged it shows a small 7 underneath the 7 in the date. It also looks like the end 5 is mixed with a 3????. The reverse says RFG instead of REG. I cannot find a reference to all 3 flaws on one coin. I have just got into coins about 2 months ago so I am way out of my league (or hallucinating lol). I have posted the close up also, its baffled me. I used photo zoom pro to enlarge. You cannot see it on pictures this small
