My favourite trance track, also from 2003 - Pretty Green Eyes, Ultrabeat.

Used to love trance and techno back in the day (early 2000's) - talking of which, anybody remember this effort from 2003:-

Well I was really adventurous. I went into the back garden and picked up some rubbish that Storm Jorge had blown in several weeks ago. Thought, that's my exercise quota, and then some, for the day.

It's interesting actually, because some have their details (name and address) on their e bay page, and some don't.

I'm not a photographic expert, but as I said earlier in the thread, I can get a reasonably clear, light and well focused photograph simply by using an old 2013 Google nexus 7 tablet, in combination with an incandescent bulb/dimmer switch, from an armchair in my spare bedroom. If I can do that with such a Heath Robinson set up, I'm sure you, as full time professional dealers, are able to invest in whatever is necessary to obtain top quality photos. It makes such a profound difference to the way customers view your website (and business generally). I'd also urge you to familiarise yourselves with the correct Freeman numbers for bronze coinage. When you haven't posted a photo of say a 1908 or 1913 penny against a listing on your website, I'd prefer a definitive response to the question of which Freeman type it is, as opposed to you just e mailing me a dark photo, wrong year, and one of them still in a plastic envelope. I'm afraid that really did come across as sloppy and couldn't care less. Indeed, the Freeman and/or Gouby type should already be on the listing. It can mean the difference between a very common and very rare year variety. Criticism can be harsh and hurtful - we've all been there at various times - but if justified, then ultimately you can learn from it and vastly improve your game.

Fantastic - really interesting account. The next decent one in the UK is 12th August 2026, with something like 95% of totality, at not long after 7pm. Similar to how the August 1999 and March 2015 eclipses appeared for most places. Of course the next total solar eclipse here, isn't until 2090, so it might be worth being in Iceland for the August 2026 one.

Did you get a clear sky on the day of the eclipse? (which was 21st August 2017, in case anyone was wondering). What did you think of it? I was in Falmouth for the 11th August 1999 eclipse. It was unfortunately cloudy as it often is in that part of the country. But even cloudy it was still a magnificent spectacle.

Seriously outrageous. I rest my case. This is absolutely unacceptable (and, I am led to believe, illegal under the distance selling regulations and sale of goods acts) and I really don't think you should even begin to accept a £6.50 loss for their mistake/incompetence/deliberacy. This is clearly their "policy", and as I said in my earlier post, they are clearly doing this so as not to lose money themselves but let customers take the hit. If every mistake was actually paid for by them, then they might actually sharpen their act up, but, no, they don't give a sh-one-t, and until we customers act, it'll go on. i would politely suggest the following actions: You get back in touch with them and demand your £6.50, referencing distance selling regulations. As Craigy is happy, contact Chris P to see if he is too, and then refer Ingrams to this site/thread. We on the forum boycott them and further spread the news of their appalling service among the coin fraternity. Do members agree, or am I being the unreasonable one??! Originally I wasn't going to pursue this, but on further reflection I think I will. If I hadn't mentioned the cost in my e mail to them, then I wouldn't. But having done so, I find the fact that it's been totally ignored as of zero importance, deeply irritating. It's definitely not the way I would treat others. Well it's clearly either obverse 4 or 5 - note the narrow rim and the space underneath and to the right of the bust, for the LCW signature. But because that photo is so dark, you can't be absolutely certain (IMO) whether the signature is there or not. Since the reverse is obviously G, that makes this coin either a F25 (signature present) or a F28 (no signature) - hence the doubt. Should just add that with obverse 5, the space for the signature is present, but not filled in.

Hmmm, well it's obviously not a great deal. But don't forget I bought a mis-attributed item in good faith, and due to their error, I'm out of pocket, albeit by a very minor sum. After all, which one of us would walk into the street and just drop £6.50 down the drain. It could preferably have gone to charity.

Any rate, I have got my money back. Didn't notice this in my in box last night. They haven't refunded the cost of tracked delivery postage back, but I'll let that stand as a testament to what they think of good customers.

I think Sainsbury's are giving priority delivery slots to elderly and/or disabled from 23rd March. Athough how you prove either, I've no idea. In other news, that ancient roll of Izal medicated toilet roll that I discovered in the loft many years ago, and left there, has finally come into its own.

It could potentially have gone for quite a bit more, Blake. Although they're not quite as rare as the 18 accorded by Freeman. More probably at the lower end of R17, with <30 examples extant. Learning the different varieties of 1861 pennies is an art form in itself. Took me an age and I still have difficulty getting my head round obverse 3 even now. By contrast, 1860 and 1874 are a doddle.

I may do, although I want my money back first. I'd also want to clear it with the thread starter @craigy and with @Chris Perkins. See what they think.

Oddly enough that thought also crossed my mind earlier today.
