    Hi Chris, no, it's not a nice example! The reason my attention was drawn to it was because it looked too old and battered for a 'new' design! I'm going to keep it, for it's curiosity value. Thanks for the offer anyway! Mary

    Thanks for that - very interesting! There's 20 going on ebay right now, so obviously not that 'rare'! It's made for an interesting Sunday afternoon anyway!

    Hi there, I've found an unusual 20p in my purse today. It has last year's new 'jigsaw' design on the reverse, but is the old design on the 'heads' side. It has no date on it. Can't see why anyone would bother forging low value coins like this, so I'd love to know if anyone has any thoughts on it. Mary
