So, i bought a lovely Liz I sixpence on the 26th Oct, seller was part of the global shipping Programme and he told me he had to send this to an address in Alfreton who were the Partners in this shite. anyway my coin had been sat in Germany sice the 31st Oct and had'nt moved from the tracking i could see on ebay. I done a Little digging around and had come accross a lot of complaints regarding this new Service but could'nt find anyway to find the shipping Partner who'd actually done the shipping. The Boss has just called DHL to ask why the hold up and they said my Name was there plus postcode but my freaking address is'nt on the packet. Raging is'nt the word, and now DHL tells me they must send it back to the Sender, fooking excellent, assholes rant over

I believe Damian also sells on ebay, some on this forum know who the arseholes of ebay are and usually are referenced somehow, if we or the some that you are quoting have picked up on something you've sold then let us know otherwise we're not talking about you and should stop being paranoid. We pick up the general f**ktards on ebay who seem to think a washer is rare or a Fine graded coin is UNC etc etc etc or those who shill bid everytime they list something.

K***2 with a 224 feedback won it Plus he never got anywhere near the 2k what he was obviously angling for as he usually does in his "suggested" price text

What exactly should we be looking at? -
I'm assuming Prax that you've worked for CGS grading coins?
-
Well lets hope you don't get the coin back but if you do the pictures will be interesting. You should download and keep their lot image just incase it disappears
-
Goom, The coin listed with London has a pronounced "dot" on the obverse (under the ear, and below the hair)...I would think that would be a sure way of telling if it is the same coin! You are looking at the September auctio Bob And not the December auction with the same lot number. Soooo anyway we know how the secretary i's but not giving ANYTHING To compare against is a bit pointless. What i Would say is that there seems to be a scratch on the OBV assuming we are talking about the florin? This runs from the F in FD and goes towards the nose, so a bit of a marker IF it's the same coin or not, but Take pictures for us next time because we're ONLY going by your say so against what we can see on their website

It's good to hear that people are finally passing on some Heritage offerings, it might bring their estimates And expectations down a little
-
Not by Spink but by coincraft and is quite good. Is was something that was sorely needed doing and I'd recommend anyone to buy it, having the Spink and coincraft side by side is quite useful, there are hints and tips in the coincraft book plus some pricesP.s, I'd always advise anyone to buy the book before the coin and Spink is the obvious candidate for a large date span of coinage and is'nt expensive
-
Hmmmmm, i would disagree There Mark, books should be purchased before making expensive mistakes when purchasing a coin. Read the subject matter gives a better idea at what you're actually looking at and a 2nd hand Spink won't cost the earth nor does the new coin craft book, perhaps £50 for both.
-
Mark, there is an upgrade to the spinks coins of scotland, ireland etc. twas published late last year by coincraft and is a cracking book

You seem To be bouncing around almost every coin denomination from pre decimal through to decimal And from hammered through to milled and from all quarters of The UK. Your best bet i's to look through a few hundred pages of the "coin aquistion of the week" thread and see what exactly tickles your fancy. No One can tell you what will be the best Coins for you, that's down to what you like.
