You should bear in mind that CGS are difficult graders. I'm assuming PWA bought the 3 coins in the dealers grade and sent them to CGS and for whatever reason CGS would'nt assign a grade perhaps due to cleaning or whatever

I'm not. You said you can differentiate between a 2 point grade and i was only interested in how you can come to the assumption. Grading between compabies intrugies me and i thought PCGS was the norm fcr american slabbers -

But is'nt the grading attributions above the same for all american TPGs? In essence, they should in theory ALL grade it the same irrespective of what yoir coin/token actually is? -

I would say your picture definately looks flat and lifeless, sorry, not TRYING to underestimate it but the picture is definately not flattering the coin in anyway, constructive critisism i hope.

Do you Scan your coins or photograph them? Oh and just as an aside, i Have bought from you previously and been happy with what i received, however i cannot say the same for Ingrams (only my opinion)

Neil, i'm not going to get into bashing anyone here, but i was watching One of your coins on the bay due to it's grade, this is your coin listing http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171482024169?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_from%3DR40%26_sacat%3D0%26_nkw%3D171482024169%26_rdc%3D1 This is graded as GVF but i Have one which to my mind IS GVF, maybe others will think it's Better or that i'm roughly about right in my Assessment, so only curious in the grades of yours to mine. Here is mine http://omnicoin.com/viewcoin/1028099 I paid less this year for mine, albeit only £50

if you believe its below standards then why not break it out and send to PCGS? Also, how do do you know that the 2 point difference was'nt already taken into comsideration by ANA? -

I've never understood how someone can work out why a coin could be umdergraded/overgraded 1-2-3 points, sorry, not being antagonisitic but how do you work out a 1 point difference in a grade?Experience. Can you point out the 2 point Gap in your coin? -
Another response Right, Ebay encourages sellers to offer free shipping or price the shipping for less than it actually costs. On the surface, it looks like they are not practicing what they preach. We would like to be able to sell to more overseas customers but many wont pay excess fees. I will say this in ebays defense though: With the global shipping program they are providing a great service, they have set up a base of operations in Kentucky at an airport and they take care of all the re-packaging and customs forms. For that service they charge more than the actual fees to make up for their overhead. From a business point of view I can understand this. They should lower the mark-up over actual fees to get a better response from buyers however, it can never be eliminated because of the overhead for the service.
-
Another reply I know where your coming from, really. But this is out of my hands, Ive accepted that ebay is a for profit agency and they do provide a great service. And since we cannot ship overseas and be covered by our insurance, its our only option. Lets say with shipping and import fees the actual cost is $100 and ebay is charging $200. Cost of labor is $20 at most and the remaining $80 is their profit. If enough people complain to ebay directly maybe it could change. Just understand I get a lot of messages about the fees and theres nothing I can do. Its not us that sets them; actually we never offered international shipping but ebay automatically changed all of our existing listings last year to accept international orders for their global shipping program without asking us first. Then the messages start to come in.
-
And another Re-read the last message nothing is free did it ever occur to you that ebay has to pay employees to fill out the customs forms ect.
-
a reply from the seller about his import charges Our insurance only covers domestic shipping. Ebays global shipping program allows us to sell internationally while still being covered by our insurance. Ebay sets the Import fess and the Shipping cost, we have NOTHING to do with it. Most people understand this and either buy or don't buy. If you have a problem with the Import fees take it up with Ebay. Keep in mind Ebay has to tack on extra $ for the labor involved (customs forms) and to cover the cost of their own International Shipping Insurance which can be very expensive.
