    Ebay's Worst Offerings

Sold for near £600 in the end Abso-bloody-lutely ridiculous. Even more ridiculous was his CGS 88 graded 1853 proof sixpence selling for £800
  2. Nah, fly direct from Munich Flughafen to Mamchester Airport £500 Executive with Lufthansa unless its a private plane
  3. EVERY packet Outwith the EU ends up in the German Zollamt, so think yourself lucky that you get Hit only now and again. However, there seems to be a small get around this. It seems the Germans won't pull anything that looks like a letter but will pull anything bigger than letter type. I have several very nice people who send as a letter, packed between cardboard and it Lands through my door everytime
  4. Costa Rica and Italy favourites to go forward, who would have thought that. Here was me thinking Engerrrrland had a half decent chance to progress, but after watching Costa Rica destroy Uruguay i think they'll finish bottom of the group

    Ebay's Worst Offerings

They will go for eye watering amounts if shilled to eye watering amounts. The one bidder has bidded on 17 out of 24 auctions, there's no way they are genuine bids

    Ebay's Worst Offerings

No Need for an apology, this also helps other members, new and old that These coins are being pushed for greedy sellers, i doubt half of them would get what they are getting if they were'nt shilled up. I have however sent the seller a message telling him WHO is shilling his auctions and WHICH auctions are being shilled, i'll be interested in his reply, IF he replies

    Ebay's Worst Offerings

I know because i use an aye pad. The ebay app for ipad has a small flaw where you can see the screened winning bidder only. Now, here's where it gets interesting. I checked this sellers auctions and 1 bidder is winning 17 of his 24 auctions, so for me, These are DEFINATELY being shilled. The total of winning bids equals 2122 GBP the winning bidder has a 46 Feedback score and has a***c in his Name, he's winning the following coins 1862/73 and 75 pennies 1811-12-13 and 15 eighteen pence bank tokens 1845 1836 1927 1847 1872 and 1856 Shillings 1853 Sixpence 1746 Halfcrown 1927 Proof threepence 1927 Proof Sixpence No wonder his CGS graded auctions have been doibg well, when they are shilled upon The Person who's winning the 1858 Penny has also left Feedback for another coin he won, Feedback was left on the 08.05.14

    Which G3 HC to keep?

Well done again to Seuk. Would be interested to know where it was purchased. As Stewie mentioned, it never even occurs to me that it was a fake, i was merely looking at desirability, glad i did'nt like it lol
  16. The coin is obviously too expensive. Obviously slab number has'nt Worked in their favour this time, which puts a smile on my face

    Which G3 HC to keep?

Just too confuse matters, i'd get rid of both and put the Money towards another, i much prefer the bullhead HCs of George III. The 1818 has a thumbprint on the OBV, you can get a bullhead for maybe around the 300 GBP mark
  20. John, at those grades i doubt it would matter about polishing, These are more or less bullion value.

More to the point, Perhaps we should recognise a new Dick Turpin.
  22. I had an email arrive about some unsold lots they had for 30% under the estimate, underneath they had a link to some British farthings they were selling on the bay, 1844 Geo I etc. I'm sure it will interest some of our members or upset them lol http://www.ebay.com/itm/K60-Great-Britain-Victoria-Farthing-1844-VF-Rare-/301201831533?pt=US_World_Coins&hash=item462107366d (null)

    more FAKES

If you look at Stuarts picture post 41 three of the coins have a small nick coming from Henrys mouth. The last picture i don't see that little feature. I'm inclined to say the CGS one is kosha but the other 3 are'nt due to the 1 same nick in the same place on the other three coins. The other thing regarding CGS valuations, do they actually update them yearly? If not the website valuation could be out hence the difference in the 2 prices. These Henry pieces seem to have been doing well of late (the better stuff that is)
