    Coins Left In Old Box

I'm still seeing 150kb upload limit
  2. I'm still, of course, resisting the temptation to say "Told you so". (Oops...) My initial thoughts were...........Coin 5 is EF, digs on the OBV, Leaf veins worn, REV left hand thistle has wear along with part of the crown, could be GVF at this rate (sorry) you know how harsh they are So you know what to do with your "i told you so" as i was also correct, i was being evasive as they were going to CGS
  3. Lmfao, it JUST got there Peck

    New Ebay Fee Structure

I've done exactlythe same bagerap. They are getting nothing else like they were getting previously. I have a few bits i'm gonna list on German eBay and then am done until there is a level playing field I wonder how many more are doing the same for the same reasons

    Ebay's Worst Offerings

Not a laugh, more for those who have slightly deeper pockets than me to purchase a rarity http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/141290584896?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_sacat%3D0%26_from%3DR40%26_nkw%3D141290584896%26_rdc%3D1
  6. Is that what they call a phonesex worker these days
  7. I like the BM plans to publish an online catalogue of all the 80,000 coins in their vaults. Edward VIII is a good monarch to start with, but I rather hope they follow it up not with Liz II but perhaps George V or Edward VII or Victoria. Still, I expect it will take some time to accomplish. I wonder if it will be free access or will we have to subscribe to see it? Perhaps a book would be better
  8. Well done you, you must be proud, but i do believe a Scottish coin did hold that record back in the 1970s, a 1576 £20 piece, bought by Spinks
  9. £460k including commission? Or hammer plus juice i have the realised price List from the Baldwins auction if you still want it Rob, i can Scan and send over the weekend

    My First Slab

I'm surprised that people still buy from this joke of a seller. His name is highlighted all over the Internet for his dodgy slabs and even dodgier grades

    Edward Vii Half Crown/florin

I think you may Be right about the Gold hue pics Paul, they did'nt portray it correctly. The other i did like but that streak on the OBV let it down

    Edward Vii Half Crown/florin

The other sold for £140, i was a tenner out
  13. Oh dear, looks like Westminster are back to the shitty tactics again. It can only mean one thing considering when they were out in front they were all for showing the polls, the table and tide is turning towards independence http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2014/05/14/publishthepoll-scottish-independence-poll-blocked-westminster_n_5321641.html?utm_hp_ref=tw
  14. Sorry, confusion reigns. I was talking about the1863 open 3 penny

    Ebay's Worst Offerings

Can anyone explain to me this relatively new grade of EF for wear GVF for grade mullarkey 151297733446
  16. I think the complete set of maundy was meant as every Single set for Chas II through to your present Monarch however many sets that is at present is anyones guess
  17. There is no subject of maundy. They were talking pennies. So on the subject of 1927 threepences, of course there's a way too Tell the difference. A normal 3D was only made in proof for 1927 and it has the acorn reverse, a maundy 3D has a large 3 on the REV, but as i've just read PRE 1927 then thats a little more difficult and i'm not sure of that answer. Hold on, someone will arrive soon

    New Ebay Fee Structure

I just recently read that a friend of mine must have had stuff listed but as it did'nt sell she did'nt bother checking eBay for a couple of weeks. It turns out that ebay had relisted the items for her without her knowledge. She only found out when she got a bill for the fees

    Ebay's Worst Offerings

Either do i, you'd expect to pay around £120 ish for a top grade, but £156 for that rubbish is plain Crazy plus his EF grade is a little wide of the mark. The acorns are flat, but you know what they say, fools and their money are soon parted and there's plenty of fools on ebay.I often wonder if its just the ebay sellers with large feedbacks that these idiots run to as we see with sellers like saxbys, people never seem to question grades or what the coin actually is when its a powerseller
  20. A hunk or not Bob, its still better than the Disc in the next lot which has a larger estimate. Still Makes no sense too me
  21. George V coinage is always notoriously difficult due to the poor dies. Getting a very early strike is always the way too go
  22. I also noted a couple of lots in this sale which don't make any sense, lot 1915 an open 3 1863 penny graded as Fine, estimate £100-£150 the next lot 1916, same coin but graded as VG, estimates £175-£225 how does that work? Then we have lots 1405 and 1406 both 1902 Crowns both exact same grades and descriptions yet 2 different estimates
  23. Please play the Video, this is quite some speech, its not political, rather than General of what's happening in todays Society http://michaelgreenwell.wordpress.com/2014/05/09/play-this-everywhere/
