Very true, but if you are actually telling them what it is on the submission form then they have a good place to start and reference the coin

I had to ask twice at PCGS to add die letter A on the halfpenny I had, they again had it labelled as a normal halfpenny, after 2 phonecalls it was eventually labelled properly. This is one reason i’m Glad NGC are here in Munich, I can at least talk my grievance over in person, hopefully if they do this on a full time basis then the process will get easier, but they obviously need more than just a Krause book to look at when going over British coins.

I’d only scrolled through 5 pics, the OBV being the last coin obviously 😂

You do realise that they re-released the Kew garden with a 2019 date don’t you? Although saying that, he is showing pictures of a 2009, but year of manufacture is 2019, so he is being a little economical in the description. I guess he is hoping no one checks the full listing

Surely this is a modern replica or forgery??

Yep just read the text, it’s a lot more underweight than the pictures would suggest -

Well, shit just got real, just dropped through the door -
Maybe it’s also a presumption that people don’t mind 😏

How many agents of NGC or PCGS or NGC and PCGS themselves do you know that show off other peoples coins online? I only know of 1. Do LCGS record for the world to see the coins you submit?
-
Not sure where you looked but i’ve taken coins into NGC for May grading in that Tier
-
NGC don’t show videos of coins anyone sends in, why should he? Just look for numistacker on YouTube.
-
Have you tried submitting into their grading week? I’ve always picked mine up at the end of the week without problem. Of course I understand you don’t live here. All imports etc are handled by NGC when you submit to London, but London are also accepting submissions for the grading week in Munich, starts in the 10th May

I’m not that interested in screwing people for money, also with the amount he does (which is more or less a business) there is also tax implications which i’m Also not interested in getting into, especially here in Germany
-
Aye, he’s making a killing off everyone else’s coins, not just through the grading but also the before and after grading videos he does
-
Most modern will get 69-70 and proofs will mostly get UC cameos, because he has so many sheep grading with him is the reason there will be a high number of those designations. He doesn’t get special treatment and he charges more than it actually costs. For example, conservation actually costs $11, he charges $15, he also gets a discount on his membership which isn’t passed on, he gets around 15% off grading services but still charges everyone full amount

GEF starts around MS60 to MS62, AU58 is EF

I thought you had to be earning £80k plus a year to get into the members club -
2 were sold in the recent Baldwins auction of Edward VII collection, highest graded was MS64 and hammered at 12k i believe, although the auctioneer did say the seller bought it from them for 14k, so he lost some money on that
