    Ebay's Worst Offerings

The only real want in the sets is the Sov, a graded 70 are selling up to £1k and more, personally i'd buy the set, get the sovereign graded and punt it and keep the 2 and 1/2 as cheap gold. The other forum where king dick resides is called thesilverforum

    Modern Coins

I'm not adverse to picking up something modern, a mint i've been watching is a private mint called Mayer, they are somewhere around me but have always denied being the mint who do these coins. Anyway, i've picked up a couple of silver proofs from their Rwanda Nautical series, i think the design is really stunning from an artistic point of view. 100o mintage for the silver proofs, unlimited in BU and 100 mintage for the gold. They are 2 years into these but have also done a Lunar series starting with the Rooster. This started of with a 100 mintage and had a mosaic design, and people went crazy for them, then the dealers started catching on and virtually killed it with massive price hikes on their 2nd offering......Anyway, just thought i'd show you a couple from this series and maybe whoever is running the forum now could maybe add a modern pinned tab?

Speaking of RM and quality. Just got a silver proof Yale through the door and it's going to be heading back out of the door to the dealer, not even going to try and replace it.

Yes, it’s all a money making scheme. A first strike or whatever NGC calls it will cost an extra €10 on top of the tier fee price, so for example, modern costs €20 plus an extra €10 for that designation, a fancy label with Big Ben or something is also and extra fiver. It’s a racket
  10. Tax rules also state that if you buy to immediately make a gain on ebay then you are liable for tax after £1000 profit has been reached. Can be read here www.listsmart.io/article/ebay-tax-guide-uk

1 for me and the other 2 for 2 of my friends, that makes 3 😉 The fact i can also drop them into NGC and get a first strike BS designation also helps

Here's how far up his own a**e my friend is https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NGC-Sample-Slab-10-000-Subs-Youtube-Very-RARE-N-For-Numistacker-PCGS-Grade/303090809838?hash=item46919ebbee:g:n3MAAOSwFlNchCUh
  19. And the Yale representation from drawing to coin, i think they got this pretty accurate.
  20. So, one of the designs of the QB is the Greyhound, i think this one will not be so strong judging by the representation on the RM website, it reminded me of the dog from the Simpsons.
  21. Totally agree with this, pimping Sovereigns with a shield here and a matt finish there and a plain edge strike on the day is just the RM trying to exploit and tart up just a normal everyday sovereign, if they really wanted to do something, then they should look at changing the REV design, a little radical i know, but th modern sovs are beginning to remind me of the American silver eagles, same ol, same ol. It was one of the reasons i liked the QB series, there's a design change every release, although, they aren't strong designs, but at least its fresh and new......
  22. There is a downside to this, the overpricing, the hype, and the eventual realisation that they've paid over the odds and left holding something that's only worth 50% of what they've paid

    Ebay's Worst Offerings

He’s just an advocate of NGC because he has an interest in people going through him to get them graded. He also does videos on coins he’s bought, then lists them on eBay, so effectively shilling his purchases, now he has some sort of connection with this coin connection website, so he did a review video it this apparent “great coin dealer” and now his videos contains adverts where you can save 2% if you quote numistacker when purchasing, problem being, the coins are 30% overpriced already, he is a parasite.
  24. Lol, Yale of Beaufort. Mintages have dropped first of all for the 1/4 gold 1oz silver proof and the 1oz, 2nd, the last 3 designs were pretty weak, this one is a fairly decent representation. Not looking forward to the Dog though, looks like the dog out of the simpsons.

    Ebay's Worst Offerings

He goes from RM shiny and new coins to thinking he is some bigshot in the numismatic world, funny thing is, he calls the british numismatic trade fraudsters then does a video with Steve Hill from sovereign rarities like he's his buddy, he also has some sort of deal going with a coin website called coin connection, he tells people how great they are because he has a connection with them, he's now slipped American style adverts in-between his YT video advertising their website, all they sell is overpriced RM stuff, they have the gold 50p set listed at nearly £7k and price gouge....His other job is in marketing, and he's marketing himself to the hilt
