Japanese buyers of Englsih coins
azda replied to azda's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
I totally agree Peck, but then do you know the difference between a Japanese and Chinese Name? It was only my thought based on the 3 different buyers having less than a 10 score Feeback on ebay and all relatively new, thats why i found it strange -
Northumberland Shillinmg 1763 Fake ?
azda replied to numismatist's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
Well this will complicate matters, but technically they should be sent back to the registered address which is canada. Send insured/tracked and make sure you get the Return postage to. Male sure that you give the seller a nice FB before resolution is made by eBay or else you won't be able to afterwards -

Can i ask what you paid for it? It actually does look a Little to good, Hence the reason i ask about price. I'm wondering if it was also bought on eBay from perhaps an American seller? -

And equally can't spell - note "luster" for "lustre" Blimey, even at the quoted 'aUNC' his asking price is a tad on the high side! In some parts of the world -- that is the correct spelling Not in Dundee, it isn't Wanna bet

There's mugs Born everyday Peter, you can't hold their Hand forever.

His name rings a bell, but I can't place it? Looking at his feedback, there's a couple of serious coin buyers who've been happy with him stock, which looks pretty interesting generally! Could be worth emailing him! It might be a good sun, and you just might get lucky? aholds sells Gold normally and he has an advert in the CCGB book and is friendly with Chris Perkins. I had a run in with him once about an 1820 closed 2 in date Sov which he bought from me and took an Age to get to him due to him having a PO BOX, he told me i should kiss his ass if i did'nt want a negative etc, i told him exactly where the f**k to get off and he left me a neg anyway. Guy is a moron in my opinion

Ohhhhh FFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats just ridiculous................Does he ever sell anything? Ebay are just keeping him as a member for the laughter value surely Apparently this 1951 Festival of Britain Crown is actually a 1937 Matt Proof Crown. Can These be reported due to the false descriptions, trade descriptions would have a field day with his shite http://www.ebay.co.u...=item5656486428

Well at least its described correctly, but why list it is the obvious question
-
Apparently a Proof also. All the shite you need from 1 auction

Geroge IIII 1821 Crown purchase, what do you think?
azda replied to evansuk2000's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
A cartwheel is round and therefor would'nt have an edge, i think you might be refering to the rims though. As Rob pointed out, it does has a lot of verdigris on the REV which kills copper/brinze and could eventually bore a hole in the coin if not treated. This does'nt add to its value. Coins with a lot of verdigris should be avoided -

You only pay to much when a coin is shill bidded upon. Normally by those who make their listings private. Grade, i'd say VF or there abiuts What's shill bidding? Ahh VF would be about the rightish price then, cheers mate Shill bidding is when the seller has another identity and uses it to push the price of their coin -

390 quid does'nt Sound to bad

I do find it curious why an auction house would'nt list this seperately. However, it's their loss eventually and your gain, so as John says, what was the damage for the lot it came in?

I don't know how I've managed to get 'Price: highest first' by default in Chrome, but I'm quite glad that I have. That and 'newly listed' are the options I use most. BTW Stuart your PM box is full. He obviously talks to much

Cropping all the red from around the. coin also helps
