Exactly My thoughts Stuart. By upping the turnaroumd time they are effectively covering the base where they seem to be struggling on the 30 day promise, but have now Shot themselves in the Foot by doing so and alienating at least 2 customers in myself and you. I can't imagime sending a coin off and not seeing it again for 3 months, and what happens if in that 3 months if they actually forget your coin or struggle with the 3 month turnaround, do they then up it to 6 months?

I never thought to ask this question, and it's directed to Paulus. When you went to view CGS at work, how many coins were they assesing in a day? I'm asking because of 2 things, 1 is their new turnaround times from May for the 23.99 for 30-90 day turnaround (previously 30 day) I'm assuming this is because of comments from this forum and maybe other forums about their 30 day turnaround which by the looks of things NEVER happens, so upping the turnaround times to 30-90 days will cover their asses, but i think it will also piss off a majority of people who want their coins returned in a maximum of 30 days. The 2nd reason i ask is because my 2 coins have been sitting on level II grading for 10 days now, one from the 20th March and the other since 26th March, so in theory the 1st coin has 10 days left to get back to me, but they must finialise the grade and slab the coin. The last time a coin of mine was in the "finalise grade stage" it took 10 days and a phonecall to get past that stage, so i doubt i'll see my coins in the 30 day turnaround which is f*****g annoying considering you pay for a service and you're not quite getting that service.

So finally found out where i can go to find the protected areas of Bayern, i was most surprised to find out that where i live is a massive protected site, i assume it's because of the 1972 Olympics as i'm in the area of the Olympia Stadion and Village. The football pitch near the top of the picture is just behind my house and all the red/pinks areas are protected areas. A proof coin could be frosted, or can be mirror like. Normally proofs are mirror like, frosted are associated with rarer versions of a proof. I also think that a UNC 1986 2 pounds could probably be copper/nickel (not quite sure)l but the proof would be .925 or .999 silver

I normally save the images of coins i've won until they arrive home and been looked over.

If it was plugged Stuart it would'nt get slabbed. Still not sure why it jumped straight from consigned to Level II grading though, time will tell.

The Northumberland is only there because of the amount of fakes of those coins, as you well know Paul. The 1935 is there because i thought it was good enough for a Crack at top spot. A 1935 in Spink today graded at PF63 by PCGS sold for £850 hammer

I just bid on a proof, it said bid sent and then nothing...and then it sold to someone else again for less than I would have been willing to pay I think it's lagging Colin, so what you thought you bidded on had actually probably finished

Ok, so i've submitted 3 coins to CGS so far, yesterday i had to phone and ask about the 1st one which was submitted on the 19th Feb and was sitting at "GRADE FINALISED" for over a week, after my call it has now gone to "PENDING ENCAPSULATION" I paid 30 quid for the 30 day turnaround which has now run into overtime, so i do have issues with their 30 day theory. 2nd coin you can follow if you wish, it's been photographed and is at 1st stage grading, it's the 1935 raised edge proof (UIN 0026265) this was submitted on their website on the 20th March (their pictures look better than mine) 3rd is the 1763 Northumberland Shilling, submitted on their website on the 26th March, as yet it's not moved (i did'nt expect it to just yet)............UPDATE........Ummmmmm well that's blown me, this is at Grading level II UIN is 0026308 I'm just wondering if that's an ominus sign.
