    Ebay's Worst Offerings

Dagnabbit, I had better get my offers in quick, love a bargain me ... Don't forget, Greece are up the shitter, so he may need the cash, although the third coins price is laughable, his countries Economy is not
  2. TBH £8 was'nt a bad price, but it does have verd and is lower Grade. Savet that £810 times any you might get an EF for that Money.
  3. You never mentioned how much the 1902 Low Tide was before everyone started commenting, sooooooo, how much?
  4. I have a 1927 Florin proof listed which ends today and overnight/this morning it had jumped up to 155 quid. I took a look at the underbidder who is from Malta and took a nibble 3 times at it. So i decided to take a look at what they have bought recently and surprisinly they are buying up 1927 proofs of all denominations and has recently purchased 3 1927 Florins. Looking through who they'd bought from i came across this auction which ends in 18hrs http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/330764516796?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_sacat%3D0%26_nkw%3D330764516796%26_rdc%3D1 This is a 1p struck over a sixpence which can be seen in more detail on the REV. This must be a major error and so for anyone who's interested in such things the link is above. Good luck if you take a stab.
  5. £308.96 it ended at. Anyone take a stab?
  6. You're only allowed 150kb per post, if its over that it won't attach
  7. Can you upload a picture?
  8. Robbing bar stewards. The whole banking system needs better regulated, but just like goverment, they do as they please, rip off customers with a £35 bank charge for going a £1 overdrawn, charge £30 to make an EU bank transaction, its free in Germany. Just shows how much the UK public are ripped off by banks. I read the other day Mercyn King forced the Barclays Chief out because he was'nt going freely...............
  9. Did'nt know where to put this. Its British and Sterling silver weighing 73.6g and got in a job lot. Anyone interested in this?
  10. Tis the exact same image as the topic starter Mr Peckris. I see Clive has took an interest.
  11. Ebay is always hit and miss, it depends on who wants what and if they are there at time of listing. Do you have a picture of this gun sight, maybe give it a weighing on some kitchen scales (if they can cope with the weight)
  12. Well, a 1983 Penny minted on a 1953 sixpence, you just know some mint worker has taken the sixpence in to mint a major error coin and make a few bob
  13. Toshgirl, the German sight might be worth a few bob (only a guesstimate) but things from WWI and II do generally attract people. So an ebay listing night go down well and if you list, also check the box that you'd ship abroad but weigh it and ask the PO for a calculation of shipping say to the USA that way you'll get a braod idea of shipping price. Maybe a listing something like. Estate sale, left to me by my late father...........and so on, you'd be surprised what people collect, and who knows, you might have some fun listing these things and i HOPE you might be surprised at what the prices bring. The 1 and 3ds you have, may have bullion value depending on the grade, sort them into pre 1920 and pre 1947 groups, pre 1920 being 925 silver and pre 47 500 silver, my advcie is because you are a novice don't add any grades if listing on ebay, just say what it is and let bidders determine for themselves. A good picture of each side is a must, nothing fuzzy as it can put some people off. You say you've lost your job, well you can make this your new job for the time being and look upon it as such until you've cleared out what you want to clear out. Remember, 9-5, coffee break at 11, lunnch at 12-1 and back to work Be committed and you'll make a few quid here and there, and if you have questions on a coin you cannot determine, then post a picture here and we can try and help. P.s, i'm much younger than you (the clever OLD sausage comment from previous )

    Recent aquisitions

Not an aquisition as such: A friend of mine threw this up on ebay a few days back, and i was trawling what he was selling and came across this. If it's genuine has a Krause value of $3,200 I phoned him and told him the news, when he came to, he took it off fleabay

  19. Ha ha....what a clever old sausage you are......thats exactly the coin I've got!!! Now tell me its worth nothing!! lol Every coin is worth something to someone
  20. CCCP is'nt that the old soviet union? Unless its english of course
  21. Is'nt TVR now Russian owned, last time i heard? P.s, if the Cars were so good in British hands why are the now flourishing under foreign ownership? What i'm getting at is you're Talking abiut niche markets in which probably 80% of the UK Population could'nt afford. Where is British industry now, down the shitter because each government blames the last for all the problems, yet none of them can sit round a table and look at the situation and hold their hands up. They cannot and will not Fight for the common man, they are to interested in lining their own pockets 1st and Bowing down to Brussels. These tossers do not have Britain in their best interests, just their monthly salaries and blaming each other for this and that and forever going round in circles. And don't get me started on the welfare state, thats just a joke
  22. Getting married is never cheap Stuart, the divorce Is costly to. I once spoke to a guy on eBay who was selling some amazing coins. He said it was basically all he had left after the divorce settlement, yes, he had to sell his amazing collection
  23. I can feel the Love on the forum today. Just wish Ski had'nt taken everything to heart and jumped ship.
