    Oh dear

I find it Strange that redknapp was overlooked especially when he seemed the overwhelming odds on favourite to get the job.
  2. Lol, i just bought it Peter, dinner plate size will follow
  3. Is there no record of this lol? Surely this is the place where someone would know the answer Really lol?
  4. Why don't you count them and get back to us
  5. Perhaps because they couldn't be sure whether the house was empty of other occupants and with the possibility of a weapon inside surprise was the best tactic. John will be better placed to answer. From what Chris wrote a few posts up, the were actually looking for a gun in the house, not someone with a gun inside the house, if that was the case, it would be an armed siege surely?. So i'm still a bit perplexed as to why the needed to do the door.
  6. That's Tayside Clive, different legislation North of the border. English Forces will normally only pay where they have made an error eg wrong house, wrong door, did not attempt to contact keyholder etc etc. What i don't get though is, if the keyholder was already in custody of his own free will, why was there the need to smash the door down?
  7. I'd be more concerned for the next tennant if the shooter thinks the previous is still there :-/
  8. The gothic crown is a difficult one as no one seems to know why they are fake. Perhaps weight is the only logical way to Tell? Northumberland seems to be the most common at the minute but with the high number of gothics circulating, these could come a close 2nd
  9. There's certainly a few trawling about on ebay, but not just from China, i noticed this myself
  10. That's what I thought .... It was graded as a forgery by CGS and I am awaiting a refund, fingers crossed! At least now you have peace of mind, see how this forum works. And now you have the stisfaction of going back to the seller AND auction house and kicking some arse.....Good result for you and those who actually spotted it. Well done the forum. If in doubt, it always pays to ask questions first rather than lose later....Well done people.
  11. If its been in a hoard, it would have to have been cleaned by archeologists surely?
  12. How many pictures do you see? Legend tops missing as usual...etc etc etc
  13. The REV looks all worong to me....
  14. As the topic states, am thinking of selling my wee collection............Its not huge by any means, but 1 or 5 rarities in there...........Its a pondering thought so far...........

  18. You can either uses something like MS Paint to crop and reduce an image to size or use a hosting site like Flikr or Photobucket and when your image is uploaded there, you just pop a link to it in your post as you did with the library pic. The free membership option of PhotoBucket that I use also imposes file size restrictions but that is a somewhat more useful < 1MB. I've just joined Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. If it were a Penny i'd say a definate Löw tide, so i'm guessing it is

    Ebay's Worst Offerings

When you say "My link", do you mean that's your coin you're selling? No 'My Link' was the default name given when I posted the post. To me that crown looks cast....maybe I absolutely agree. I didn't like to say so before, as I thought it might be your listing. It definitely looks dodgy and very much like a casting. So back to this one then. I emailed the seller and she said you 2 are talking utter pish lol. Her name is Louise BTW, very nice young lady, apparenlty been doing ebay for 9 years and knows her sheeeeet

    Ebay's Worst Offerings

I guess though that most people who are in the market for one of these, really ought to know about the American grading system? I guess we'll all be hand led and spoon fed once eBay collaborates with the grading companies. It'll be like listing a mobile phone soon, where you HAVE to check various boxes to even get it on...unless you want to list it as a fobile moan or something. :-) He actually told me it was joint SEVENTH finest......WOHOOO lol.......A bargain then
  23. I have a decent 1824 Laurel head Sov Huss, check My dinner plate out in the last coin aquisition of the week thread
  24. Better to guage the opinion when you've taken your own pix Paul. Rev 3 lions bottom quadrant look worn, but that could just be the picture.
