    My Collection-a little dairy

or open(.....) i will ask him what might interest me Why ask HIM what might interest YOU? He'll tell you every piece of junk he can't shift might interest you. Its what interests you Patrick, and no one else

    Ebay

Not sure he can block postage to Poland now that its been bid on Colin, he can't revise it anymore. Peter, you'll have to do as Colin has said after the listing has ended, unfortunately i don't think you can revise the item now its been bidded on

    Ebay

add him to the block list then delete his bid
  4. I have their up coming sale catalogue and also a contact there, i'll take a look and then maybe drop her an email informing her of this atrocity I assume it's someone who's bought from him and thought this is not GVF and could'nt send it back for whatever reason so has decided to sell it on. I have emailed them anyway.
  5. A decent range on offer there across the board for all periods, but I would question some of the grading though. Do they have a reputation for overgrading or not? G,day Rob. Sorry I did not get back to you earlier,I have not looked in for a few days.Regarding the reputation for overgrading, I have not heard one way or the other.I will ask around.I have bought a few things through them but as Tom said they seem to put their reserves & estimates a little high in my opinion. They usually have quite a bit left for sale after the auction. Thanks Joey, but don't bust a gut as I haven't found anything suitable for my needs, so won't be bidding in any case. They do have a Northumberland shilling for sale. VF 600-800 estimate
  6. I've bought from them, 1 had a rim ding and they still graded it as UNC, grading was definately a little off

    Postal losses

You have to leave it 7 days before opening a dispute, but also bear in mind, the buyer might be on holiday and won the bid through sniping, so give it the full 7 days then escalate it through ebay.
  8. If he doesn't send him a PM or he has a website rpcoins.co.uk
  9. The man for this would be Rob, he has a lot of old catalogues including Glendinnings
  10. i have quite a few that are better than Fine, i'm going to seperate these while taking pictures and add that these are better than scrap value, most are halfcrowns, with 1 VF Viccie crown, and 2 1820 crowns (F only) Karzi is i'm assuming the London expression for toilet lol

    Gouby on Ebay

And welcome back Michael. Its the best reference for Pennies, well worth the 50 quid i paid, still takes some getting used to though.

If there was ever a time

Cracking portrait though, am stil amazed that Roman stuff can outlast some of our more recent British coins.

If there was ever a time

Thumbing through the catalogue last night I couldn't help noticing it. I checked to a few times to see if I could say it wasn't a crack, but failed. I guess that's why the estimate is what it is - no crack and you could double it. In VF it's a £150-200 coin, virtually as struck you can comfortably add a 0. The estimate is 1750 euros Rob, doubt you can add another 0 onto that
  14. Quite a few there going way over estimate. Collecting is NOT getting any cheaper is it

The seller in question is Germanys longest running dealer, since 1870. Then there is Lanz, he's in Munich and has apparently the largest byzantienne collection in the world, originally from Austria, his father started the business.

    Ebay's Worst Offerings

In all honesty the adjustment marks would'nt bother me. Its a rare coin in itself, but what he's obviously selling is the graded holder

    Ebay's Worst Offerings

Iwould have said personally GVF as the OBV hair detail is also quite worn, buttttt it could be a weak strike like this one
  18. Yes, i did think that to when comparing to petitioncrowns website. The dealers description is Groat o.J. (1505/1509), London. Spink 2258.although i'm no expert on hammered
  19. Just wondering, i remember the thread here a few months back and the indicator was the thumb of Britt was straight on the shield and not pointing downwards. Any takers? Bigger picture hopefully
  20. This one from Tony Clayton's site , the only others I could find were Coinsgb and here Google dried up after that: I wonder how many are out there? Court didn't find any in his big penny survey David PS Azda is warned not to follow the Tony Clayton link, it may prove too much for him Lol, i already did
  21. Another would be the 1850 Shilling, never seen one at all.
  22. I have 523g of pre 1920, so obviously no use to you
  23. You really ought to do this for a living, Dave, you're clearly good at it...I'm chuffed if I make a tenner on most of the coins I sell. I wish i had the cash to start Declan, so many nice coins out there, i want them ALL lol. Speaking of which, anyone seen this before? It was on ebay earlier and i took a punt on it but got outbidded, the seller sent me a 2nd chance offer on it, presumably he bidded to much on it himself as i was a zero FB winning bidder. Its a trial piece for GB 1 Euro, description says its 25g of .999 silver. Thinks its worth buying?
  24. Ah, the Chas milled coinage. That's the kind of hammered that I like I think the topic moved on to the best coin Peck, regardless of hammered or milled. Do try and keep up my old bean
