And i've got a plonker in eBay DEMANDING his Money back for the one i sold. My auctions state No returns As i describe accurately and make good enough pictures to See all details. So now he's started a dispute saying its a fake in order to try and get His cash back, its only because he doesn't like it, but He likes it enough to have it for over a week. So i've basically said show me evidence that it is a fake and then I'll refund, not until.
  5. A needle in a haystack there Tim, although there is a world coin fair coming up here in Munich next month wich i intend to attend, a friend of mine is coming over from Scotland for a wee visitation as he's also a collector. I'm actually a little peeved, i sold him an 1854 Shilling (to cheaply) bet he's laughing now, but i'll make sure he dips his hand in his pocket at the Hofbrauhaus

The one i sold recently John was also shy on the dia and weighed 9 gram, never noticed anything on the rim though, probably because i didn't stop to look. The beads on the one i had were falling into the rim though
  7. My sprog is as good looking As me Peck
  8. I don't Know why No One has mentioned it before, but in the forum Category free for all, there is a Useful Links thread, in there, There's a link to Fake 1 pound coins. I'm not just a pretty face, i have My uses
  9. Yes, some People Pretend that the coin they have is the rarest of the rare, and you will always find an idiot who buys it, but As John said, its worth 2 quid
  10. Perhaps it began life as an A Bob then they overstruck the V As its been doublestruck by the looks of things
  11. Lol, i didn't even notice that, Kind of a giveaway tho
  12. 1st image is a spanish 8 reales from the Mexico mint, you can See the M with the O above it in the REV, looks like a FIne grade, but always get these verified. No idea of Value , maybe someone has a Krause book at hand
  13. Ok thought i'd upload this picture. The bottom picture is one i've uploaded in this thread, a F33 the top one i think is the same OBV and REV but the border teeth to the last 1 in the date is wider, top is 12 and a half teeth to one and the bottom is 12 teeth
  14. The 150KB quota is per image
  15. More a worn Y David than broken. I enlarged the picture using the iPhone and can see the other leg of Said Y
  16. It actually looks like one i have in the 2nd post of the 3 Date widths, the bottom coin of the 3

    1861 Penny for sale

Ok, i have so many of these i'm selling one of them and decided it would be this one. Anyone looking to buy then send me a PM. If no takers by the end of the week then i'll put it on fleabay.
  20. I want to add to the book collection, sometimes those are expensive which would then mean to perhaps miss out on a coin to purchase a book. If i have enough funds avaliable i will purchase more as i do intend to expand the numi library somewhat. I think the other reason people ask a question is, even though i have Goubys new book, sometimes it still baffles me as to which die pairing i have perhaps just bought.
  21. and here's the 2nd one, this one the sea stops at linear circle, the other crosses it. Whichever one i decide to sell, if anyone is interested here i'd rather sell to a forum member 1st as i know it would get treated well, if no interest in whichever then i'll put it on the bay

    Ebay's Worst Offerings

Somebody got burned! Ooouch! Where's his REV picture
  23. Is it also conceiveable that there was just a 1 and 8 matrix and the last 2 digits added? Looking at some of the dates on this thread, the 8s look wider from the 6 and 1 in some pictures than others (although this might just be the angle of the pictures). Might take the 4 1861s to work and measure with some digi verniers to see what we have. Arggggghhhh, just found another 1861 i have, making 5 geezusssssss. I have two really nice 1861s, both different dies, but i'm not going into all these die variations as a collection, just 1 date for each year, so my question now is, out of the following 2 coins, which one would you part with?
