If money was no object, what coin would be first on your purchase list: For me, i have no idea as yet, i'm still relatively new at this, but i'm interested to know what a seasoned collector would buy, lets not be to outrageous though, lets say for arguements sake that you have a spare 20-30k

Here's another, she states quote "Relisted Due To A Non- Payer If You Have Nothing To Do Or You Are Not Concerned About Your Ebay Account Then Go And Pester Some One Else, This Is A Serious Auction For Serious People!<<<<<<<<< (is she serious) Must cost these people a fortune to list a 50 pound coin at 3.5 million http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/UNDATED-RARE-20p-PIECE-ROYAL-MINT-ERROR_W0QQitemZ120484963226QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Coins_BritishDecimal_RL?hash=item1c0d76a39a

Now here's a Gothic Crown
-
It does look highly polished, and if you didn't realise, you can email the seller asking your question about a return if it has in fact been polished. I've seen a better one, near museum piece, but at 3k its a bit steep for me, maybe i'll ask the Frau to open her purse
-
There was no Sovereign Hussulo, it was a halfcrown, perhaps polished with brasso, nevertheless, it was silver, honest
-
I emailed the seller last night about it, and he replied and said "I have considered what you say and have to admit the coin does not grade as UNC. I have withdrawn it, changed the listing and re-listed it as VF. Thanks for your kind comments I can only say in my defence that I took my eye of the ball". Well i suppose thats fair enough, at least he done the decent thing and dropped the grade.

I was checking out some coins and just wondered why 1854 coins seem to be worth a whole lot more than some other dates IE 1854 Shillings and sixpences. I don't know why this is or why it seems to be a key date, can someone please enlighten me?
-
Here is a case of a seller stating his coin is UNC when in my opinion it blatantly isn't, for me the head is worn and there's a huge rim nick. See what you and others think. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1874-Half-Crown-Uncirculated-grade_W0QQitemZ270541912974QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Coins_BritishMilled_RL?hash=item3efd8dfb8e If you look at his description he states UNC then in the article description he says Judge and Bid, its all about enticement

What to do with an inherited disorganised colection?
azda replied to a topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
Alas, I have moved them on. Now if you think shifting a 1787 Shilling in EF is a challenge, try getting rid of half a dozen Lee Enfields... Psst, Mate, wanna buy some rifles...... I bet that was interesting and very difficult, unless you're in London or Manchester, then i'd say you sold them rather easily -
It sounds like thats exactly what he's done, i assume he really knew it was'nt in the particular grade he stated and used wording and the pics to "judge for yourself" but dropped in the grade to entice, there is a lot of that on ebay, so if you don't want to get your fingers burnt take a little time to study pics and grading, that way it will then only be you to blame for future mistakes, but don't make them so costly next time. Gold has always bullion value anyway, so you won't lose a huge amount on what you bought.

If war breaks out we're all coming to 400s for a coffee and a rifle -
If i were you i'd ask the seller for your money back
