For some reason i can see the PM Peter sent with his address on the activity part of the forum, Peter, you need to get this deleted by the admin, not sure how many people can see it, but i certainly can

  8. Not sure they convert diesel to gas over here Bob, they like power on the autobahns , problem being i obviously passed my driving test in the UK and they drive on the wrong side of the road here which counts against me when looking for insurance, the ML350 or even 320 would be great but think i should just drop a little lower until i have a few years insurance under my belt as i drive on the father-in-laws insurance, on top of the insurance comes a 4x4 tax and also a diesel tax.
  9. People Do post pictures of coins in various threads and they get no feedback unless it's a Penny, so it's sometimes a pointless exercise. Anyway, i'm off out to look at a car, the Land Rover Discovery is out due to the 1800 euro insurance quote and The extra tax for it being a diesel and a 4x4

    1841 half crown help please

Paulus means the UIN number and not the grade number, the UIN would start with 00 and would look like 0034567 for example. Selling the coin you'd have choices, such as Baldwins, Londoncoins or DNW, your best bet IMO would be St James as they have a 0% commission fee for sellers on coins over £1000 hammer, which yours would be, the other take between 10 and 20% i think

    CGS "membership" Fee

The longer this goes on without any info the worse their reputation is going to get. I don't understand why they don't add any information on the main page of the website to keep people informed of where CGS actually is, mind you, trying to track down info on submissions previously was a huge task in itself, so, par for the course

They're telling us something most already knew, so to solve the problem, shut the website down and bury the heads in the sand until it all goes away

New to coin Collecting Help Needed

I'd go for The top one because there is more wear on The 2nd, if You look at The harp detail for instance, The 2nd is flat, also some flatness on the scepteres, BUT The first has poor lighting which might mean it's been dipped to make it look bright and shiny. Unless The picture on The first has been done in such a way that The light makes it look like it has a golden tone, so personally, i wouldn't go for either unless Number 1 came up with another picture. There are many 1887 florins out there, you need patience, its not easy, i did The Same thing initially but slowed down eventually

New to coin Collecting Help Needed

1887 is the commonest year of the Victoria era, it was her jubilee year but at least you're not breaking the bank at £13.50. As i've said before on these boards, a collection doesn't have to mean 100 coins in lower grades, you can also buy 2 or 3 in high grade, better to have 1 coin in high grade than 10 in lower grades, just my opinion

For the life of me i can't understand how Portugal got this far, so i'm in favour of a France win, 3-0 first goal 23rd minute Griezmann

    CGS "membership" Fee

LCs would still hold 51% until money has changed hands, that all may change in due course, The fact that collectors Are being left in the dark about The situation and closing down The website/limiting access when it was live doesn't do anyone any favours, especially those who shipped coins during the "new Elite membership" period. It wasn't very well thought through IMO

    CGS "membership" Fee

As i said above, i wonder if this new pricing has come from the new owners, i think people paying this sort of money need to know who's now exactly in charge before parting with a wedge
