Shocking Experience from CGS - Coin Grading Services - Forum Advice Pl
azda replied to futurama.shopuk's topic in TPG Discussions
You won't get a reply because Semra is judge, jury and executioner, she's boss man. Now that you know it's a kosha gothic I'd send it to PCGS, you can use a middle man, maybe Alan from MHCOINS? -
Semra has no manners at all to the people who pay her wages, she really needs to get laid and chill out
-
The set sold last week.
-
As the Title says. 2, 1 and half Sovereign for sale as a set. No box or COA is with these unfortunately
-
Could it be Irish? Hiberno Norse
-
Hang in there buddy.

English Government, especially 3 of them specifically, Cameron, Osbourne and IDS

Where's Peckris these days?

Pecks write up might be in the November issue, just spotted something on Geo V coinage Update Page 53 of Novembers issue IS the Peck write up -
You are correct Rob, depending on the lighting it can bring a different picture, but he's used gamma rays and kryptonite on these and over saturated them to try and bring out the colour slab buyers in droves
-
His pictures make it look hideous, just as well he added the slabbed pictures along with the other 2
-
Exactly, so people who bid on his items should now surely know he enhances his pictures, but in this instance he's made a complete mess of them
-
Nothing like going overboard with the photo editing suite. The coin is similar to these woman who slap to much make up on, all too enhance the price no doubt, the actual slab pictures are totally different than his own http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/161855915506

And sometimes quickly skint, there was always one who was on fire each day, never seemed to be me though
-
Or just plain "pitchie" in Scotland which we used too play at school:)
-
Well if Londons can't determine it, how can he, they normally scrutinise everything. Here's the one I got, seems a lot more clearer to me, hence the reason I found his eBay auction then the Londons one
-
Hmmmmm Mr buckscoins is being economical with the truth AND at quite an expense http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/311441604610 And the same coin with a slightly better description and price of £300 hammer
-
a new grade has been born smooth grade. I wonder if in time we'll get variants of said grade, smoooth grade being good smoooth and smooooth grade being Near smoooooth
-
Matteo, i can see what Nordle means, by cleaning, what would the precious owner clean it with? Did you buy from a reputable source, the surface of the OBV does't look great, but as with Nordle i'm no expert on foreign coins, just things that look suspect. Could this have been a shipwrecked coin?

Behind every great man lies an even better woman, I have no doubt she was the Rock of the family. It's nice that you deem us worthy enough to share this turbulent time in your life, God bless Peter, I'm sure she'll be forever watching over you and the family.
-
I'd rather wait for a decent picture.

Oooooooh must actually open my coin news and read it -
Grading and authentication are two different entities entirely. We could therefor ask how American companies authenticate a coin, given the fact they have actually slabbed British coins which were fakes. I know which I would prefer. The BNTA also have a list of fakes on their website, as I'm not a member of the BNTA I cannot tell how it operates and again you'd have to ask how they determine a fake from a genuine coin. CGS would be the only place to send a British coin for authenticity issues in this case.
-
It will cost £30, but will be worth the outlay if it is genuine, either way you'll find out if it's the real deal or not
-
This would be the thread to throw up a picture Vicky
-
I agree with Peter' comment above about sending it for authentication, here's the link to CGS http://www.coingradingservices.co.uk/?page=home
