Befpre having my head turned by hammered coinage i was initially interested in pennies
-
Agreed as above

Did a quick search myself and came up with a couple

Let's be honest Here. If this coin was in the ebay thread we'd be all having a pop at the sellers grading, so its gone through CGS and is acceptable?
-
The HUGE Crux for me i's that OBV scratch, its not a bagmark it's a whacking great big SCRATCH And coins from CGS get downgraded for these type of things, so, sorry but OBV is not UNC for me
-
George V coinage as a whole was very problematic but that coin should never get a CGS80 even before we talk about the scratch On The neck. Thats crazy Grading especially since we moan sometimes at how low they grade some real chocie coins.
-
Nice scratch across the neck there. UNC? Not for me
-
So i thought i'd put this in here as it's unrecorded Grade is nothing special but the REV legend error is, A's for V's in the legend

A fully searchable database from 1330-1550 of 64,000 names known to have migrated to the UK, might be useful to those researching family trees http://www.englandsimmigrants.com

Con man - Watch out for this one, bounced cheque
azda replied to Chris Perkins's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
Nope, not illegal in the UK....it is in France...if you bounce a cheque in France they automatically block your bank account (yes, they do) and its treated as a criminal offense..... But surely if the cheque book is stolen Then its illegal, so the question is, is it a stolen cheque book as from what Mark has said there has Now been a second attempt at buying gold coins. Maybe a phonecall To the issuing bank to clear it up? Could it be the same investcoins2003 trying again? -
