    Nice magnifier.

Microsoft really shot itself in the foot with its upgrades, starting with Vista! I am using windows 7...it is not bad, but I have heard 10 is a nightmare!

    Halfpennies

He still is selling, but seldom has anything of interest for me. He used to carry some pretty good stuff, but not so much anymore. I haven't purchased anything off of him in years.

    Halfpennies

I bought it from Bob Reis, a mail order dealer here in the USA. I've had it a long time, but don't recall how long it has been. It is for sale on my website...10% off to Forum members. http://shop.rlccoins.com/1865-3-Half-Penny-184.htm

Copper, I have a 1865/3 that has a really clogged top half of the 5, but is still a clear 5 over 3. I'll try to find it and display a pic.

    Using acetone to clean coins

I do not have any fear, hesitation, or doubt...but I have used this product personally, and for me, it doesn't work as advertised! That is my only point. btw...I must have bought one of your 40 bottles.

    Using acetone to clean coins

The instructions I have, that came with the product, says it is a debris remover for circulated coins!

    Using acetone to clean coins

I have used a product called Verdi-care for spot treating, and debris removal on circulated coins, and it just did not work, as stated in the write up by the seller.

    1860 farthing - obverse 2 or 3?

Colin, Here's one you can see good with the naked eye...1851 D over sideways D Farthing. I sold this one a few months ago. If anyone has one they want to sell, let me know, I would like to buy another one.
  13. Pete, I checked my Paypal account, and it said the limit had been lifted, how that happened I'm not sure...but there was also a note that said, beware of a guy named "Pete", as he is a notorious "Late Payer". .......Before you get mad at me...I'm just kidding! Ha,Ha!
  14. Pete, Did you just reply to a PayPal email, or did you actually get on the PayPal website? If you just responded to a email...it is a scam! Anything that actually comes from PayPal should be verified through their website, where you will find you don't have a problem after all! (if the original email was a scam). Just a fyi...
  15. Paulus, A polaroid filter on your camera will really help in taking pictures through slabs. It gets rid of the reflection from the slab!
  16. 1949, I talked to Michael Gouby about the 1870 Dot Penny, right after I found it, and he also said it looked like the same type and size of dot he had listed in his book as BP1875Ce. Obviously it is a different coin than my example, because they are different dates. Since Freeman is the only person to see one of the 1870 coins, there is only a population of two, at this time. I sold the coin, later in the year, to a collector in London.
  17. Here are some pictures of the "Dot" under the "Y" of the 1870 Penny.
  18. Here is some correspondence I had with Michael Freeman about a 1870 Penny with a large "dot" under the "Y" in Penny. The note pretty well explains Michael's view on Dots!
  19. Copper, is the undated 2008 the scarcest one of the three?
  20. I was thinking about bidding on it, but I had just bought what I thought was one, that turned out not to be one, so I was a little gun shy to do it again! LOL

    1897 British Large Cent-High Tide

ThomasPatton...Here is the 1897 High Tide. It also shows the position of the "P" in Penny, with regard to the tooth.

    1897 British Large Cent-High Tide

Definitely a Low Tide. The High tide line is higher than that!
