    replica ?

Hi, I have the same coin as on first post here, looks from same die (please see image). I am sure that it is replica, tested - not silver, but also not Steel because material is soft and leave a clear black marks on white paper - as silver, lead, etc. 20 mm/ 2.7 grams
  2. Hi, what do you think about value of these silver pennies in similar grade - 7-8 GBP per coin maybe?
  3. I don't know when the £ sign first came in, but it was certainly long before Victoria. Thank you!
  4. Hi again in this topic, I want to add new picture only, from today, it is good image but if I found camera over 4-5 MP will add another picture... Hi, really sorry for the spam but need help. I know that this is maybe fantasy, but please help me - when first used pound sign "₤" - Queen Victoria? after or before? Please if anyone can say whether in 1887 he already enjoyed. This is a new picture from my new camera made with a magnifying glass, and now I think that the left is not the symbol "I", but something else...
  5. The top one looks to be an Edward III halfpenny, of his second coinage with no marks on reverse. Otherwise, they are broadly correct. Thank you .
  6. Hi, these three coins received today, can you confirm that coins are as described, and what is real value minimum if I want to sell fast? They are: 0.5 gr/ 16mm. 1.1 gr/ 17mm. 0.3 gr/ 12mm. Thanks for your opinion...
  7. Hi again This coin is graded at AU53 approx. on other forum (US standard). What do you think about UK grade - EF or less than EF? There is many many luster on both sides. Thanks...
  8. Yes, there is some very-very thin scratches on obverse, maybe after cleaning maybe not, almost invisible a live, thanks for the help .
  9. I'd agree with the grade. I'd happily pay £50 for an example like that. But as Rob says, would you get that in Bulgaria? Many thanks for the help. I Will get 30-40 GBP within 5-6 months maybe in my e-shop. In 2009 I have send many coins George II and other 17-18 century sent to UK and USA, but this month I have 4 coins confiscated by police (Australia 20century). Will returned to me after 3-4 weeks. But all coins before 1800 this year have confiscated for the country. There is many peoples here who send rare roman coins to Europe and USA and now the laws are very bad for collectors. There is police with detector in many postal centres. But I receive coins from UK by signed-for - no problem in this moment .
  10. Hi again, I want to sell this halfpenny in Bulgaria, I think it is approx. goodFine in US standard, But how you will grade it in UK and how many GBP is approx. value in this grade - maybe 15-20? Thanks.
  11. I am very happy today with some new coins from UK. What do you think about half penny - it is original or 18-cent. fake? Also how you will grade you this very nice coin in UK standard? The half penny is 10.0 grams/ 28.5-29.0mm. Thanks...
  12. Hi, I will never sold the half penny because it is best George II halfpenny in my collection; About 1849 penny - I can not send coins to most of the world because rules of Bulgarian mail (I can receive but can not to ship), UK and Germany are also forbidden countries this year for coins and other valuable items. So I will open maybe BiN with offer option on US-ebay . Thanks... Not certain I agree re the Brasso - doesn't look like it to me; of course, having the coin in the hand would confirm it but Bulgaria's a long way away... The 1849 penny really isn't much more than Fair but they are saleable in any condition. A couple of years back I bought one in similar condition (but without the bend) for £220 just as a filler. On that basis, would recommend a 'Buy it Now' of maybe £180-200. Thanks for value. The half penny has some surface green spots - maybe hard to clean and maybe this is "Brasso"?? Sorry, I dont speak english and dont know what is this Brasso . Maybe one day I will clean this coin but now I prefer to save as receive:)
  13. Hi I think Peckchris has been a bit too generous. It would appear the 1748 halfpenny has met Mr Brasso which considerably lowers the value....perhaps F value which is about £15. The 1849 1d is a rare coin but yours grades at considerably less than F....be brave and start it off at 0.99p it will find its level. Hi, I will never sold the half penny because it is best George II halfpenny in my collection; About 1849 penny - I can not send coins to most of the world because rules of Bulgarian mail (I can receive but can not to ship), UK and Germany are also forbidden countries this year for coins and other valuable items. 14. The George II halfpenny is VERY nice It looks authentic to me, if it was a contemporary forgery it would be fairly evident. That series wasn't widely forged anyway - there was a steady issue of coppers from George I through George II. It's only when you get to Geo III that the copper coin shortages become widespread and forgeries appear on a large scale. If the weight and size check out, then I'd say you've got a good example there. I would say that there is a little too much wear to say EF, but it's not far off (GVF+? NEF?) Thanks for the help. I want to sell the 1849 penny with "Buy it now" on US-ebay, coin is twisted but very minor and hard to seen. Can you help me with actual Buy it now price in similar low grade? Thanks.
  15. This coin graded AU55 (US) on other forum. What do you think - how much is actual value in this grade if I want to sell on eBay with BIN? Thank you...
  16. Hi, I have checked maybe over 1000 halfpennies 1880-1890s but never seen similar nose. Have you seen similar nose? Maybe it is common variety? Thanks
  17. There is a very-very thin line (as shown) and I think that this coin is from die with small broken part on the nose. I hope that someone else will confirmed that he had seen similar defects.
  18. Yes, "Voynov is from Bulgaria, so... interesting quirk!" It is really TOO hooked, but I think that there is no metal deformity and coin is as struck, maybe never cleaned. New picture: (Coin shown as received from UK, there is no manipulations in Bulgaria )
  19. Hi again in this topic, I want to add new picture only, from today, it is good image but if I found camera over 4-5 MP will add another picture...
  20. Hi, thanks for the link, looks $15-20 AU for similar grade
  21. Hi, I think that this is a rare penny 1955, but what value minimal is for similar low grade please...? " I " in GRATIA and in ELIZABETH each aligned with the gap between two rim beads. Thank you.
  22. Thanks for the help , I accept that this is not "G" over "O" variety recorded on "Collectors` coins GB".
