The top one looks to be an Edward III halfpenny, of his second coinage with no marks on reverse. Otherwise, they are broadly correct. Thank you . -

William III halfpenny - UK grade and value?
Voynov_BG replied to Voynov_BG's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
I'd agree with the grade. I'd happily pay £50 for an example like that. But as Rob says, would you get that in Bulgaria? Many thanks for the help. I Will get 30-40 GBP within 5-6 months maybe in my e-shop. In 2009 I have send many coins George II and other 17-18 century sent to UK and USA, but this month I have 4 coins confiscated by police (Australia 20century). Will returned to me after 3-4 weeks. But all coins before 1800 this year have confiscated for the country. There is many peoples here who send rare roman coins to Europe and USA and now the laws are very bad for collectors. There is police with detector in many postal centres. But I receive coins from UK by signed-for - no problem in this moment . -

Help me - grade about 1748 half penny? Original?
Voynov_BG replied to Voynov_BG's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
Hi, I will never sold the half penny because it is best George II halfpenny in my collection; About 1849 penny - I can not send coins to most of the world because rules of Bulgarian mail (I can receive but can not to ship), UK and Germany are also forbidden countries this year for coins and other valuable items. So I will open maybe BiN with offer option on US-ebay . Thanks... Not certain I agree re the Brasso - doesn't look like it to me; of course, having the coin in the hand would confirm it but Bulgaria's a long way away... The 1849 penny really isn't much more than Fair but they are saleable in any condition. A couple of years back I bought one in similar condition (but without the bend) for £220 just as a filler. On that basis, would recommend a 'Buy it Now' of maybe £180-200. Thanks for value. The half penny has some surface green spots - maybe hard to clean and maybe this is "Brasso"?? Sorry, I dont speak english and dont know what is this Brasso . Maybe one day I will clean this coin but now I prefer to save as receive:) -
Help me - grade about 1748 half penny? Original?
Voynov_BG replied to Voynov_BG's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
Hi I think Peckchris has been a bit too generous. It would appear the 1748 halfpenny has met Mr Brasso which considerably lowers the value....perhaps F value which is about £15. The 1849 1d is a rare coin but yours grades at considerably less than F....be brave and start it off at 0.99p it will find its level. Help me - grade about 1748 half penny? Original?
Voynov_BG replied to Voynov_BG's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
The George II halfpenny is VERY nice It looks authentic to me, if it was a contemporary forgery it would be fairly evident. That series wasn't widely forged anyway - there was a steady issue of coppers from George I through George II. It's only when you get to Geo III that the copper coin shortages become widespread and forgeries appear on a large scale. If the weight and size check out, then I'd say you've got a good example there. I would say that there is a little too much wear to say EF, but it's not far off (GVF+? NEF?) Thanks for the help. I want to sell the 1849 penny with "Buy it now" on US-ebay, coin is twisted but very minor and hard to seen. Can you help me with actual Buy it now price in similar low grade? Thanks. -

1890 half penny - very hooked nose...
Voynov_BG replied to Voynov_BG's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
There is a very-very thin line (as shown) and I think that this coin is from die with small broken part on the nose. I hope that someone else will confirmed that he had seen similar defects. -

Voynov_BG replied to Voynov_BG's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
Yes, "Voynov is from Bulgaria, so... interesting quirk!" It is really TOO hooked, but I think that there is no metal deformity and coin is as struck, maybe never cleaned. New picture: (Coin shown as received from UK, there is no manipulations in Bulgaria ) -
