  1. Hello all, As an amature coin collector as a child in the mid-sixties, I had ammassed what one would call a "boy's collection" of all coins good and bad. There is, however, an 1841 half crown which I seem to remember was given to me by one of my uncles as a child. The wallet I came across only a few days ago lying in a cardboard box with other boyhood treasures. I have attached a couple of images of the coin for an opinion of its rarity and maybe its condition. I hope this is of interest to other forum members. Thank you, Regards, Ian.

    1841 Half Crown

Really!!! You have taken my breath away - are you sure? The coin is as was found in the pocket in the album, the highlights on the head is reflection from the windowwhen I took the photograph, I understand it is ifficult to see this without it being in the hand so to speak. I am speechless. Well, my dear old departed uncle must have known, although it would have been gifted to me mid to late sixties. Thank you very much rob for the information,I'll have another search! Regards, Ian.
