Would you call these BUNC?
HistoryTreasures replied to azda's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
No, the first two coins are not BUNC as they do not display the full mint lustre. They are very bright, but they do not have that glossy reflection that the ones placed on later do have. I would describe the farthings as EF-EF+ -
Wasn't me. Sadly.

HistoryTreasures replied to HistoryTreasures's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
Thanks, But I thought I managed to google one which seemed to have normal, circular but 'straight' edges earlier. What an intrigiuing design.. -
Best way to sell is by selling them to me at good prices I'll know what to do with them!

Value of 1839 Proof Isle of Man 1/2 Penny?
HistoryTreasures replied to VickySilver's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
Vicky, I think the value would be exactly the same, in merry ole' England. That's the thing with these big auction houses, they attract so much attention that it makes little difference what country it is being sold in. -
Hehe..nice to know it's probably worthless, modern crap!

Hmf..just why is the ship missing its boughs?
-
I wondered if it was something like, if you transpose the second image on top of the first to fill in the spaces that seem to be missing from the ship, you form a complete image?... but it doesn't look right...a mystery LOL

What do you guys think about this coin, does it look real to you? It feels odd, doesn't feel or sound metallic and doesn't smell of anything!
