    Hello new here

Hi Nickie.......welcome to the forum.......the olympic 50p collection certainly seems to have started a lot of people on the path of coin collecting. just a few words of advice........if your thinking of buying coins from ebay, ebay sellers describe many 50p coins as very rare or extremely rare and theyre not, dont be fooled into paying over inflated prices for coins that are fundamentally worth at best 50p!!!. enjoy the forum ski

    Problem Coins

its a lesson learnt for sure, but now with that knowledge, your better placed to bid in any future auction. dont dismiss auctions on the basis of 1 bad experience, by bidding on individual coins rather than bulk lots, you may fare better. ive never bought a bulk lot, ive had reasonable success with my bids on individual coins, i have returned 1 coin (in many lots)as i thought it wasnt of the grade the listing suggested and was given a full refund. maybe ask some help here on a piece and take another punt. ski

    Ebay's Worst Offerings

i wondered where you were going with this until i scrolled down.............how i laughed when i did. i did that. this was his reply...... Books are the seed of world education. It's immaterial the subject. Frankly, the society we are rounded for, it had people for whom literature passed by, and then create a forum where they find likeable souls. Coins as such, bring a major interesting point of looking back, and sometimes they ignore the reason to un-quivalent determination to rise options for their condition (grade). However, nothing have been taken to create a singularity opinion and establish a decisive situation that another soul need to be told how wrong, but leave theirs right. I bring back some received member correspondence to activate that the coin above would be compared with another coin of different date, though and on the book (you disliked!), I quote ..."three coins were struck on dies of same type (above) coining presses at Edinburgh " unquote... with different prices through three grades, and a single with a mark "E". Finally, who had printed prices and choose each grade?. Surely not you, on 18th Century! Regards.
