How many ridges are there on a 10p coin?
ski replied to Curiousity's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
we will all know once youve counted em, still keeping us in suspense though -
and when you return, explain to them that they need to mortgage themeselves up to the hilt so that you can have a bigger house and bigger room seriously....if you enjoy coin collecting.......keep at least your favourites and the higher grade examples....... youre gonna need more pocket money though as compensation for having to accept a smaller room

that should see them start to turn up real soon ahem.....debbie a thrupenny bit is 12 sided, therefore a dodecagonal 12 sides are easier to count than ridges. -
i thought it was only cheese that went downhill that is until the nanny state got hold of it!!

the pounds cant look after themselves as their mostly counterfeit coins anyhow.....okay maybe £2mills worth according to reports.
-
ive met your type in tesco's......chasing after the girl guides........have you got a licence for that zimmer of yours it just goes to show though how difficult it would be to maybe do away with the lesser coinage...or maybe not, just the 10p becomes the lowest denomination, or as you say peck, 10p becomes a penny and theres 10 to the pound. but what if........... when the pound becomes the lowest denomination..........and then the 2squid.......etc etc ad nausium ad infinitum. thank god for tanners and double florins
-
then we could call the 5p a halfpenny, the 2p a farthing and the current penny a half farthing.....the 50p could become a 10 bob note and suddenly anyone over the age of 110 is happy again
-
mr peckris......i get the feeling once again were posting on the same wavelength, whilst being poles apart........excuse me while i go away in a confused state
-
hasnt that long since gone? so....are you saying the 10p be called 10 cents and then penny....if so, why not just cut out the american bullshit and call the 10p a penny........anyhow mr peckris, im sure you will agree, whatever coin you call a penny these days, the RM will do a shite job of designing it

when there are so many reports in the press about youngsters not developing social skills because theyre nailed to their pcs/consoles, it seems odd that anyone could be remotely considered anti-social for not being able to post for a few days because maybe they may have a social life that keeps them from the pc. i collect coins, love reading about them here from the great minds who post great threads, post when ive something stupid to say, but i go out a lot.......i dont know if that makes me anti-social or not. when im next in the pub, watching the footie with my mates, chatting to the barmaid about here underwear, i may consider coins for a moment, but only to make sure im getting the right change -
