£35 i thought it was a bargain as it is certainly not a very common coin.
-
are these any good? i usuall use my digital camera to take coin photos but would consider buying one of these if they are better,
-
i bought the "snide version" as well, it is exactly the same as the official set but it is all on one disc, i also have all the books fron 1601 to date and the bank note books.
-
i certainly wish i could find a wreath crown in a mixed lot, my 1927 cost me £125........................
-
got the darwin £2 coin in my change, i love this coin as the reverse is so innovative, in the past i have found all the commonwealth games coins and both brunels in my change.
-
merry x-mas and a happy new year from beautiful lancashire.
-
hello, i have just joined this forum and i find it very interesting, i have been collecting for nearly 50 years and have ove 6,000 coins and 2,000 bank notes. my main areas of collecting are GB (obviously), german states and french and scottish bank notes.

thanks for all the welcome messages, i am happy to be part of this forum.

it is definitely a fantasy coin, the reverse is the clasic silver penny whilst the obverse bears a passing resemblance to a rose farthing..............worth zero!!
-
what is the reverse like?
-
i think the best time i have ever had change checking was in australia in 2004, it was amazing the amount of commemorative 50 cents and dollars that turned up not to mention a couple of 20 cent pieces most notably the don bradman coin. no matter how sophistocated your collection becomes, change checking never leaves you.............
-
hi, i want to swap a 2002 mint set in the wedding packaging for a set of estonian euro coins............
-
i'm 55 going on 15,
-
this is my tin farthing, i bought for £196 at york in 2001.
-
add to that falkland, st helena, gibralter, isle of man they have all turned up in my change, and a kenyan 5 shilling which is the same shape and size as the old 50p.
-
i started collecting in the 60's doing exactly the same thing, looking for variations in the coins in my pocket, the best one i ever found was a worn cartwheel penny which i still have to this day for purely asthetic reasons. i still check my change for different coins and the most unusual i have found is a lillanngeni from swaziland which is the same size, colour and weight as a pound coin.......
-
this has been going on for a while with this person and was even mentioned in coin news last year, i have informed them on more than one occasion and reported them to ebay but they still carry on doing it.
-
whatever happened to the manchester coin and medal shop from the exchange?
-
i house my collection in lindner trays, the coins are kept in a stable environment and are easily accessible to look at, my bank notes are kept im first day cove albums which are made from mylar with a neutral black paper insert.
-
it is one of my pet hates when i see plated coins, why oh why destroy a beautiful coin just for the sake of it, unless it is to try and dupe some unsuspecting person into believing that the coin is gold.
-
it's almost identical to my edward I irish penny.
-
it is definitely set out to con people into buying the coin, some unsuspecting youngster or overseas purchaser would be easily duped into buying this coin.
