  1. thanks for the advice. you are right to a novice they look very pretty, but i can see that to a proper collector they are probably just a novelty item. will be trying to get rid of them as there just isnt anywhere to put them! wish me luck! mr truck

  3. Hi there, i'll make this my final thread for now cos I seem to be taking up the entire board. I just keep searching through these new coins and finding new ones that look interesting! So if anyone has any ideas about any of these I would greatly appreciate it. I have 1 coin that I think might be a coronation coin. says william IV king of great britain, crowned sep 8 1831, reverse her most gracious majesty queen adelaide. coin is in good condition. 1 1902 sixpence enameled in orange, green and blue on a white background, in fair condition. 1 1902 coin, not sure of its denomination but it features a lion on a crown. It is set in a red ring with a sky blue interior. portrait of edward VII on the reverse. If anyone has any ideas about the history or value estimates for these coins I would appreciate it. ta mr.truck
  4. just to add, the saddle is picked out in red and gold, the shield in red and white, and there are red accents on the dragon. Both sides have a black background. Hope this helps!

  6. Hi there, I am totally new to this and hope you might be able to help. I have recently come into possesion of a small collection of coins and I have no idea of the value of any of them. The pick of the bunch appears to be 2 1935 crowns which have been hand painted to accentuate the features and then glazed in some way. They appear to me to be in mint condition and I was wondering how much they might be worth and if I would be better off going to a dealer or selling through ebay or another auction site. any help would be greatly appreciated as I am a total novice and a bit lost ta now mr truck
