  1. Don't forget Liverpool was once the major port of the Empire. David yes that could explain alot, i can only imagine the journey it made to find me, pretty interesting thought really, thanks for that one!
  2. he he thats ok it means alot to me anyway regardless i couldnt by the memory i have of when i found it, cheers
  3. it only took me 22 years to find out what this was, so as you can imagine im very happy thanks .....alot!!!!
  4. I think it is most likely from one of the Indian Princely states. Script is similar to these Smaller 3 are from Baroda, the larger from Indore. But it could be from elsewhere in the sub continent, there are a lot of very similar designs, and this coin is too far gone to pin it down further And yes late 19th early 20th century David that is the one at the top thankyou so much, so it is indian? is mine worth anything i take it not judging by the condition
  5. hello i found this coin in liverpool when i was a kid, i have no idea what this is, looks like it could be bronze, is it saxon, norman or arabic i have wondered, it is about the size of a 50p coin its cut is pretty neat which baffeled me further, i cant see a date its pretty worn but from what i can make out it has a strange text running around the coin similar to arabic but much more squared in shape, looks like it has a small head wilt a helmet or somthing, the other side of the coin has a wavey line running around the outer of the face and again the strange text but this time in the centre of the coin, i can put more pics on if you need, it was found at a fields edge which was undisturbed for some time, any help would be great thanks
