  1. You would need to register first but it's not worth it really as it sounds worn.

Go to "My Controls", then "Edit profile info" and it's the first field at the top. You must have changed it before because it doesn't default to "Forum God"

They are indeed! I find the lower denominations (4d-1d) reverses' so interesting with the intertwined "C"s

I think the market's saturated, Chris!

    Tea or coffee?

Can you edit this to make it a poll, Sylvester? (with you mod abilities and all!) I'm a fairly heavy tea drinker, about six or seven cups of lapsang souchong a day although I do sometimes have keemun (Grandparents very into tea!).

    Look at this wonderful gold!

I saw a lot of eight I think go for £10 which I thought was a super price!

What do you think of Page 4?

Yeah with 1.44mb capacity! I think you need to think about the copying implications too, Chris, it needs serious thought if you are going to put it on the Web. And you're not "aiming too high", don't listen to him.

No, that's not what I meant. You personally are not Master JMD collection - you have the Master JMD collection

Master JMD, your profile doesn't make sense: Have you suddenly transformed into coins or am I missing something?
  14. It was answered in another thread, Chris think's they are Condor tokens but he said he'd need more info

What do you think of Page 4?

Leading on from custard's point, it isn't a problem for broadband but it is for dialup, which most of us have. Zipping it would make it more accessible I think.

What do you think of Page 4?

Fantastic, Chris. The pics look really good and even in 1600% zoom, it's not all that pixelated - one could still make out pointings etc. Good work, I hope to see more! P.S - "However" doesn't have a capital in the die strikes bit

Top 10 favourite coins in your collection...

In no particular order, kind of a variation between medals and coins but here we go: 1) 1833 VF Sovereign 2) George IV Coronation Medal (not a coin but it's divine!) 3) 1797 Cartwheel Penny VF 4) Edward VII what we decided to be a Mule 1911 "Coronation" coin 5) 1910 EF Florin 6) All my pre-Wren Farthings 7) 1795 fairly worn Guinea 8) 1931 GVF Irish Penny 9) Errrm 10) Ditto That's all I can think of at the minute!

    Most valuable coin you own.....

Colin Cooke collects the best farthings which can be more or on a par with your pennies. He collects the best examples and he can afford to as he is a very successful dealer. You are a schoolboy who would rely on huge sums and birthdays and christmas' to buy them. This is the point I am trying to make. Only in later life will you be able to afford the coins at the same grade as this one so it is pointless buying it.

    New cheif cashier

He's been it since the start of the year!

    Most valuable coin you own.....

You are not grasping the point - To buy this coin would mean you would have to buy equally good coins at equal expense to make yours an even collection. Put simply - if you buy this, you would have to buy the top notch stuff.
  24. Emperor Oli

    Most valuable coin you own.....

Exactly, buying this one beautiful coin would look out of place in a collection with lesser specimens. The price of the higher grade, older coins prohibits most people from purchasing them.
  25. Emperor Oli

    Most valuable coin you own.....

It's no risk at all, JMD, you simply won't have the money to maintain such a collection.
