Yes, we all agreed that Westminster and Coincraft are in the same league!

Ah ok. Quite sneaky of you researching the engines to push ahead of coincraft though! With all this talk of Coincraft, I went on the site to the Edward VIII bit. It seems they have struck some bimetallic coins. In the piece however, it says the two pieces of metal nned to be lined up by hand. I thought this was rather odd and inefficient and doubted its validity. Is it true?
  3. Wow but then again it's a teacher telling it and they don't alway impart the most accurate information!

I was going to put 30,000 first! I thought "Is it 3000 or 30,000" but I plumped with 3000, stupidly. Way to go Chris (even if it is a bit of a comedown from 421,000!)

The one thing about the Coincraft site I like (Emperor Oli prepares for flaming) is.........the coin in their banner!

Yeah I was quite shocked. I dread to think what Coincraft gets though hehe
  7. Care to share any of them with us? ^^^^^
  8. Emperor Oli

    Proof?

I wonder if anyone has any Churchill VIP frosted proofs? A snip at £400 (Spink 2004)

I think Chris said 3000 a while ago.....

    site for buying coins

More modern milled would create more business for them - it makes sense!

    Can't wait to see it!

    Pennies...

Sheesh, that's bad! They just seem to have books on at the minute though, not coins, which is some recompense

    site for buying coins

They should include more modern milled on it and get the layout sorted!

It is quite odd that such a prestigious company would "stoop" to that level. Is it still active i.e Do they still use it??

    Lucky People

Yeah, I suppose. Plus they play more games abroad which is where we tend to here it happening more and until recently, our rugby wasn't that good to go abroad.

Lol! Isn't Spink's Japanese-owned now? One would have thought with their stereotypical expertise with technology, they would have jumped at the chance!
  17. Emperor Oli

    Lucky People

Correct, but we don't hear about "Rugby louts" that much do we!?
  18. Emperor Oli

    Pennies...

I wonder if they'd send them to you free if you put their banner on your site?

I've never broken a limb but somebody at my school had their arm jumped on and that broke. It was a rugby thing I think
  20. Emperor Oli

    Pennies...

Good God, I'd just thought of that! The postage would be through the roof and would eliminate a discount, if any, from the price of the book. That's a kick in the teeth
  21. Emperor Oli

    Pennies...

How many would you be thinking of buying, Chris? That is to say when you've sorted out all the VAT stuff..
  22. Emperor Oli

Hmmm I think this thread has run it's course
  23. Emperor Oli

Haha you'd certainly get a laugh or two from more experienced collectors

...not to the same level as Coincraft!
