  1. Couldn't resist this! Took a lunchtime stroll to The Bell in Frampton, and look what turned up! A 1922 Steam-Powered Stanley Roadster with wooden wheels! What a beautiful thing!
  2. I'd be happy if all my Edward II coins (when I start) could come up like this Edward I Penny!

    1922 Stanley!

There's still the water rates to be considered!
  4. Oooops, sorry, forgot to resize first! The 4d was very much the hardest of this date to find, I'd upgraded the others a couple of times along the way. I finally ended up with 2 4d's (neither were a fine compliment to the set), but I can only find the weaker of the two, which I'll not burden you with here!
  5. You have some coins left?!!Sold, but nice all the same!

    1922 Stanley!

Ooh, look at that! Is that a Jaguar XK 140 first left?Classic, old, anything, is great in my eyes! I'd love to think of our present day history inspiring the generations ahead, but I just can't see it somehow? Exit: I meant 150?

    1922 Stanley!

It accelerated away like a modern sprinter, unbelievable! Wished I'd filmed it!
  8. Ya, happy birthday out there!

That's a really interesting question, and one I don't know the answer to. I would suggest you contact a coin cabinet maker and run the problem past him/her? What's the name of that esteemed maker that's often talked about on here? Anyone? I'd be really interested to hear back on this one, including rationales for glue choice by any said cabinet makers.
  10. Nick's tougher than that, Paul. He dusted me up when I first arrived, over the small matter of smelting bullion coins!
  11. I was making reference to Dave's image of the hammered coin, Dave!
  12. We've seen loads of this most common of all 6ds on here, reaching nowhere near those prices! That price is ridiculous!
  13. Me and Dave were talking about this one. I'd love to know how bad that 'thump' in the obverse right field is?Anyone seen this one in-hand? It's certainly pretty!

That tone would take some emulating! Will add the picture to the collection! Would really like the high-res images of your one, Paul? You've got my email!
