  4. hi i have a load of junk pennies and i know the coins in the photo are really in a bad state but i was just wondering if any were the open 3 type? also as i have most dates is there anything else i should be looking for? i can post pics of almost any date from old type victoria onwards, obviously not 1933 or 1951 pennies, but most dates otherwise

  7. hi im new here ive recently been given some coins i know most of these are silver and just wondering about their values here is a pic: other coins im getting given are: half crown 1889 half crown 1891 half crown 1930 *3 (key date?) 1893 LVI crown half crown 1816 i dunno about their conditions as i have no photos yet. many thanks to anyone that can help p.s i have about 7kg of old pennys and some other coins what can i do with them as ive been told its illegal to scrap them

You can go there with diddly and still enjoy it.You can see what you want to go for...bettcha buy something ive put up 2 1/2 crowns too http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170716297005 im gonna get rid of all the coins i thought were good, and buy some decent stuff. no more of this ebay stuff the coins look ok in the photos and i end up with a worthless pile of junk.

  11. thats a good idea, i go to format coins in birmingham alot but all his stock is hidden so i dont know what to ask for
  12. It's most likely to be in average condition, but the range of values would go from around bullion value in Fair (£2?) up to several hundred £ in Mint condition. Here's mine. Looks impressive huh? Actually, it isn't even EF - that's how critical grading is, and how important to get right. thats a nice coin, i just keep buying crap off ebay it seems, im trying to offload my 15 kn pennies on there at the moment
  13. also any idea on the 1930 half crowns i think they're vf condition, oh and while im at it the 1893 lvi crown is vf i reckon too

  17. the guy im buying them off is a truck driver that renovates old fruit machines in his spare time he says he knows nothing about coins so puts the coins he finds in a pile
  18. forgot to add i have 13 1918/19 kn pennys too, dunno how much theyre worth
  19. ps im saving up to buy 75kg of unsearched coins from a non collector its gonna cost me £48 just in postage
  20. you might need to use the magnifier to see dates etc, the photo looks ok on my pc but crap on the internet
