  1. I believe this particular coin had only 20 minted, 15 were known and two others have been found within the last two years, only three left to find. any more than that turn up, we will know the Chinese found them first
  2. Think the needle needs changing, track keeps jumping
  3. The £2 Trial were officially released by the RM as a commemorative, the pack shows the Trial in four stages including the finished coin, the £1 Trial in question are being marketed by others trusted the coins to test equipment, who have decided to profit from them The Coin mentioned in Chris's book marked Trial both sides would probably be treated the same as the £1 Trial and be recalled as it would have been gained in similar circumstances

    Brexit and money talk

A clean break would be quicker and better for the UK rather than trying to piece together something, we already know that ALL 27 nations have to be in complete agreement for any deal to go through, Look at Canada, 10 years negotiating, one refusal, the deal is dead. We already know the biggest benefactors of the Freedom of movement to their own economies have said they would block any deal without freedom of movement.
  5. Why then put £1 in a bag of 50ps ? obviously Blks, The New Trial represents a current legal Tender coin, the other Trials are no longer legal Tender, they are representative of coinage that has been withdrawn so shouldn't be an issue, the £2 Trial was issued as a collectable by the RM
  6. The RM work 24/7, I did the tour Monday this week, and it was mentioned The trial coins are only usually issued to vending machine companies and the Blind Institutes for testing and acceptance, therefore any being sold to the Public are technically stolen property
  7. Rob has posted before at problems viewing on site, and I don't think you are allowed to take images yourself, From my enquiries, you can ask for images to be taken for a fee, these are than added to the collections for all to see

    Trump v Clinton

The last paragraph is the truth, the establishment run the country, the problem they have is they cant buy Trump, his own Republican Party are against him even before the latest scandal came out, They much prefer Clinton as she knows how the system is suppose to work and is partial to the odd free dollar In my opinion the last constructive President was a common man, with no affiliation to the establishment, and who said it like it was, Ronald Regan

    CGS "membership" Fee

Each to their own, I have no problem with any slabbing companies and also feel everyone is entitled to protect, grade and store their coins as they see fit, my objection is mud slinging based on a false argument. Nice to see Someone turn up this time

    CGS "membership" Fee

I think the point PWA is making here is the negative comments from person or persons who have never used CGS/LCGS or even intend to, merely acting on hearsay, a complaint or in the interest of others, a good example of which played out for over a year on this Forum regarding following a rejected coin.

    CGS "membership" Fee

But isn't that exactly what you pay other Grading Companies for, their opinion, if it adds value all well and good, if it doesn't that would only concern those that bought to sell short-term, i.e. dealers

    CGS "membership" Fee

There have been, reputedly, over 80 slabbing companies worldwide, some were very short-lived and now gone, but in the case of LCGS I think they can take comfort in that they are continuingly mentioned and compared with the big two, who, it would seem, do well with Heritage Auctions, I sure one or two of our American members could confirm the encouragement and leaning towards encapsulation, especially NGC, when consigning to HA As for the comparison on numbers, the figures quoted from DNW are comparable to 25% the NGC submission and 10% of the PCGS submission, in a relatively short time, they are showing a growing presence in other Auction Houses as you rightly point out The UK has always had a different grading system to the USA and LCGS reflect this, they offer a comparison between the two, it is really the reluctance to accept this grading system that holds the US Market back from LCGS encapsulated coins, but in time it will come, I agree with PWA there
  15. The Aquatics coin sell for a lot more now, one sold a few months back for £1,250.00 BIN on Ebay in its original sealed packaging, loose they seem to find their mark around £600/800 dependent on overall condition, these tend to be those removed for placing into the display before the rarity was discovered. The Battle of Britain coin is not one I have heard before

    The Negative thread.

Then take it down if you feel it is inappropriate,

    The Negative thread.

    Yawn!

    The Negative thread.

Alternative views are one thing, continuously banging on about LCGS in every thread is boring, hence this thread. We all have views and the way we collect and store our coins personal to each, most have given their opinions, lets leave it there, doesn't need continuously repeating, nothing new to add, move on
  19. Nothing wrong with his advertisement, says he buys good quality, doesn't mention what he sells
  20. From Ebay you sign into your PayPal account as usual, if you pay as Guest you are not using that account and have to enter full card details and CSC, you do not have the protection of your account, this is possibly why they are asking you to do things different, you have paid as though you are not registered
  21. Watching the Olympic Heavyweight boxing Final, unfortunately a silver against the French
  22. In this situation I would start with a Phone call as the process described is significantly different from previous experience.
  23. Be careful could be a scam, non received items are processed through Ebay resolution process, as PayPal and Ebay are no longer connected payment is put on hold by PayPal during the resolution period. I have never been contacted by PayPal during any resolution period. I would Telephone PayPal, before I started tapping my keyboard
