Im New And Could Really Do With Advice On All The Coins I Have Inherit
Debbie replied to wendydjango's topic in Beginners area
Hello Wendy - more ladies always welcome! As Peck has already said I collect love tokens and engraved coins, so I don't get too bogged down with grading, varieties and slabs I do however collect the odd shilling now and then! You will get lots of helpful and expert advise on here. -
Nice cut out Rob. Are you moving towards my territory?
-
Why would anyone want this? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/400705852311?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 Posh hamster bedding?

Oh I see. So we need to blame the bidder who went from £50 odd straight to over £300!
-
You could retract your bid and then all the other bidders will see it drop dramatically. They will then wonder what the problem is?
-
...And have you seen his other offering that"looks like Hitler"?!

Oh no Nordie - you don't want me to upload a picture of a penny, I'm a (un-engraved) penny virgin! Just for you (although the photos are not up to much I am afraid) -

I have an extremely basic collection IE a 1900,1906,1936,1947,1970! -
I see lots of Victorian love tokens with lovely old names such as Dotty, Flo, Hattie, Agnes, Harriett…..
-
I had never really associated the name Tracey with the Victorian era!
-
LOL yes indeed , its my cousin and dare I say younger one!
-
Thanks Clive - might be an idea for a present! (for someone I know born that year)
-
Just out of interest what's one of these worth? I assume it would be best in an original case?
-
He he. This thread always makes me laugh out loud. Well spotted gents, always entertaining!

Every Man Can Relate To This
Debbie replied to azda's topic in Nothing whatsoever to do with coins area!
I feel the need to re-address the balance somewhat....... What's the difference between government bonds and men? Bonds Mature. What did god say after creating man? I can do better. husband: Want a quickie? Wife: As opposed to what? How many men does it take to put a roll of toilet paper on the hanger? No one knows... its never happened -
Morning all! With the approaching demise of Window XP support I think a system upgrade is way over due. I am thinking either Windows 7 or 8. I have had some not so complimentary reports on Windows 8 as it appears to be a totally different navigational experience. I was also thinking of Windows 7 because my boys’ school uses this one. Has anyone had any experience with this or can anyone tell me what the pros and cons of using one and not the other are please? Any advice most appreciated!
-
Fubar that makes me think of bletchley park!
-
Thanks guys - that has definitely made me feel more confident about making the change and also that I've made the right decision to go for Windows 7.
-
Hi Nordie Thanks ever so for that, good point about the support. I’m not the most technically minded and I hate having to change and upgrade, even though I use the computer every day for work. I dread each new Office upgrade too!
