    Brexit and money talk

It's a no-brainer to me, a single currency system is unsustainable without economic union, which is un-achievable in the short-, medium-, or possibly even in the long-term. I don't have sleepless nights about it, it just won't work.
  2. I have talked about this with a couple of members recently, and the subject resonates with me, very interested in your views. Personally, when I acquire an upgrade, or preferably a gap coin I have been searching for, I gain a lot of satisfaction/pleasure if the grade/price/eye appeal is proven in hand. Then I will take the best photos I can, catalogue it, and sometimes post pics of it on here and other sites. I sometimes buy to sell, but most often it is to enhance my collection. Once I am happy with the purchase, and with my pics, the coin will be filed in some way ... stored away in my safe in an envelope, a 2x2 flip, or occasionally slabbed. After that I tend to only look at my pics of the coin I have just acquired, or try and take even better pics, but the thrill of hunting the coin down in the first place far outweighs any subsequent pleasure from owning it. All thoughts welcome @PWA 1967

    New 5 pound note

  4. It has just occurred to me (somewhat belatedly) than the same OP question can be related to wives/husbands and girlfriends/boyfriends
  5. Once added to your collection, do you then get as much buzz out of owning in vs chasing it down?

I have a slightly battered I Stiver thingy! Willing to sell and open to offers, must focus better (on what I buy)!

    My Latest Acquisition

I agree with Pete, it is most likely CGS photography not showing off the coin to best effect
  8. That's a B though, aren't they a good deal rarer? Stonking windfall I'm sure Dave, whatever yours fetches

    Trump v Clinton

The odds haven't changed much since the debate, Trump at 4/1 to 5/1 to win with most bookies

    Ebay's Worst Offerings

No bids on auction starting at £79, now relisted as an auction starting at £100 ... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RARE-UNDATED-20P-COIN-GENUINE-MULE-MINT-ERROR-/182314378297?_trksid=p2141725.m3641.l6368

    Brexit and money talk

This is a very ignorant question I'm sure, but why are we exporting $45 B of petroleum and importing $62 B of petroleum? What is the point of that? Couldn't we just import the difference, around $17 B? Is it about different grades?
  15. Nothing special value-wise but nice to look at, Spink Patina series fantasy William IV Crown in copper (25.0g)

    Ebay's Worst Offerings

And no mention of CGS on the new listing. I found another like this, where the seller had added a CGS grade, but it had not passed through CGS. I messaged the seller who said it was an error and took it off. The same may have happened here, or he didn't like the price it went for. Deserves to get some very poor feedback from you. Liar.

    Ebay's Worst Offerings

Not only that, the coin is not slabbed, misleading at the very least to describe it as CGS 70!

LOLus Are we in danger of sniggering like Month Python in Life of Brian regarding Biggus Dickus? Have you seen that film @Matteo95? (Anticipating a Carry On type comment from @Peter )
