    Grading opinions

Hi Eddie My guesses as to what CGS would grade them: Vickie sov CGS 70 Willie HC CGS 55-60 Vickie HC CGS 70 Do be sure that none of the show any signs of cleaning dipping, else they will be rejected and CGS will not refund your fee. From the pics alone the Vickie HC has a suggestion of dipping? What do you think 'in hand'?
  5. If we're doing coin nicknames, there is also the Joey (3d) and the Quid (£1)

    Ebay's Worst Offerings

Never knowingly undersold (whatever that means)
  7. The bidding is just silly, can't be genuine bids, would be my guess - as to why, no idea!
  8. There are other English pre decimal coins too, other than the ones Peter listed. May be worth mentioning the Groat (4d - 1/3 of a shilling) and the Half Groat (2d)
  9. Yes, there is still a classic called the 1000 Guineas, and another called the 2000 Guineas - just historic names I think, from when that was the prize money

    Coin photography

Out of interest, do either of your tablets have a macro facility?
  11. GVF for me too, from the pics alone (of course) ... needs a better lion's face for EF imo
  12. I'd also agree with Swanny's grading assessment
  13. I've yet to attend myself Stuntman, but every 3 months they have more dealers and more space, December being the next of those
  14. Welcome Nojo Looks like an A to me

    Cinquefoil stop

I believe cinquefoil is scarcer, certainly of higher value like-for-like. Spink have it valued at roughly twice the star stops variety, while CCGB has it just ahead in VF and up
