The Yeti - does it exist?

I presume by this you all think a 1865/2 farthing with a small 8 is a monsterous rarity
  5. Title sez it all , anyone out there got one , would love a pic if you have one.
  6. One of mine common but nice looks like it might be from the same engraver , note the R 😊😊😊
  7. At one time around 1790 small change was often given by weight very few legal coins were in circulation
  8. This time the puffy lips and the thin britannia. You would think a gram underweight was nothing , why not make it a five gram fake . Might as well be hung for a sheep and not a lamb
  9. The rather weird shield is a real givaway - its a contemp fake

    CAROLVS III

Nothing like a kraut trying to keep his job and pension by changing his name . Victoria did the same didn't she , probably to upset her mother , they had a strange relationship those two
  13. Was just brousing the bay the other day and I came across what seems to be a peck 821 (1721/0) , its from the same dies as the one that I have in my collection as it has a v over v in georgivs. It's not been seen by the seller just take a look its only got a day or so to run, seller has missed it due to it not being that clear . It is a rare coin though I suspect a couple of people might have spotted it anyway. Item number 332795576612 just in case anyones interested - I would grade as near fine
  14. About £2.50 , you really will not get rich off that
  15. Anyone know where you can get the mintages of the modern decimal IOM coins please? It does at least give you the idea of whats rare and whats not

    latest acquisition ;0)

I once did a Photoshop mock up to show how Boehme's portrait would have looked without a crown:Boehmes portrait was one of her daughters ideas Victoria was badly advised to use it by the said daughters , but when Victoria makes up her mind there is little in this world that will make here change it. Must admit it looks better without the crown

  24. Just looking back on the monty pythons life of brian clip Did you know it was the ultimate insult to say a roman had a huge penis , in roman society having a "large one " was associiated with barrarians and enemies of rome . heres a picture from" the hidden room" in naples where I went last year for a city break in Naples. It would have been brought out at the end of an evenings entertainment , it depicts northern european foes of Rome , they are of course lamps .
