I would say yes - its not a melt coin but collectable Its also worth £20 or less so dont start planning retirement just yet -
I would lay money on the seller working in a sushi bar or chinese resturant not that I like to categorise people

I am currently trying to upgrade my black finish 1897 - you would think it's easy wouldn't you , well its not a quick ssearch on ebay compleated listings gives very few examples and they always fetch around £20 or so you would think with this being the commoner type there would be loads around but theres not . 1901 is still a pretty easy date to find though -
just picked this up , found it really hard to find and am well chuffed (As they say up north)

My advice would be read as much as you can choose something you really like the look of and just try to build a collection - don't expect to have the best collection in the world after a short time collecting set reasonable goals and just enjoy yourself . popular coins are farthings crowns Halfcrowns pennies shillings And dont forget type sets A great help is living near wakefield/ brum or london for the fairs , otherwise its gonna be the internet or a friendly local dealer Buy numismatic books they are a great investment as well - you usually get your money back selling them
