looking forward to the 1700s farthings and halfpennies . While i would love to give advice on the coins you have scaned as they are mostly silver i feel i should pass it on to someone else as this really is not my field . Ps if you ever want to scrap the 1905 halfcrown , it will find a happy new home at my adress . -

Coin collectors are by definition coin collectors . Too my mind it does not matter the coins value either , while a collector with a collection worth £150 is still a collector he should not be derided and abused JUST because his collection is of little interest to a serious collector . Out of little acorns mighty oaks grow . PS I hope this arguement stops here now -
I think because the pound is such a popular coin they had to make a huge amount for as soon as possable , they just needed a date so chose 2016 - they will always be very common like 1983 pound coins
-
More rubbish in the sun this time in a headline - just wondering if it was a slow news day today , or are we getting tired of brexit and the election already? They should have worked out by now their story in a none story caused by the general public using liquid nitrogen gas to increase the value of a pound coin 10,000 times and maybe sell to some person with half a brain on craigslist or gumtree
-
or probably none existant
-
I would be less worried about the sellers - its any buyers that would worry me
-
seen 50 or so - according to the internet a 2016/2017 mule exists - not found one yet . Some people are selling the ordinary 2016 coin or craigslist / gumtree for up to £500 claiming its rare - how a coin with a mintage of 1 .5 billion can be rare and worth £500 I don't know
-
Try gum tree there are several thousand rare peter rabbit 50ps on there at up to £1500 each

Help with coin toning
copper123 replied to suemo's topic in British Coin Related Discussions & Enquiries
I would say if all the coins are the same that they have all been cleaned at some time so are worth very little , dont hold your breath for a great valuation from a dealer. What you see is not lustre that went years ago on this coin
