it's true that i have the "bug"! i was hunting this morning with my 3 year old son and after digging an old iron hinge and a belt buckle we hit the george and i have a feeling i'll be able to sorce the origins as the farm has been in the family a long time. i can't wait to post my next find. -

so i'm new to the metal detecting world and I found this diddy in my backyard. Can Anyone confirm that it's a 1736 half penny and could anyone give me a fair marketvalue estimate. thanks for the help. my pics are too large to upload. sorry
