Sincerest condolences Peter. Any loss is heartbreaking, even worse when its an accident.

Paulus, Big advancement with the black background. Have you seen this book, well worth the few dollars. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Numismatic-Photography-Goodman-Mark-NEW-Paperback-22-April-2009-/361380839780?hash=item5423fa0164

I would change the background as well. Not sure about the white glove!!

I see Ebay UK have now removed the Coins- Publications category as well, you now have to search through Books using keywords, i wont waste my time

Thecoincabinet funnily enough there is not Even a hint of a slab in his pictures Very well edited pictures, lots of slabs there! Bit pricey even off Ebay.

Yep thats correct all bids were on gold, i have it recorded somewhere, i think he had 3 or 4 feedbacks or somewhere thereabouts.

If you look at the rest of his silver he has for sale, every single coin has much the same colour tone which in my eyes is impossible to have from George II to Victoria Could have all been in the one collection, kept in the same cabinet, cleaned long ago then stored for 50 years, they would all tone up the same. Not really impossible. Just thinking.....This one Must have been in the Same box then, cleaned at the Same time and toned the Same way http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/361349885744?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_from%3DR40%26_sacat%3D0%26_nkw%3D361349885744%26_rdc%3D1 I think it seals the deal, No? Im not defending the seller, far from it. Personally I wouldn't buy a thing off him, toned, untoned, retouched or whatever. I tried buying a few very random coins off him when he had another account and was mysteriously run up by the same bidder on all the items. Needless to say he probably bought them off himself! Regards..

Bidding practices with this particular seller would be more my concern. But then again if you like the coin you just buy it.

I have to admit i have no idea about the UK political situation, i live across the other side of the globe . Basically i think Euro 350 billion in debt is a disaster for the Greeks and the Eurozone. I speak Greek and i can tell you that the PM and finance minister are not trying for blackmail or more money, they are telling Brussels that they cant pay them back what they are owed under the existing deal, and the proposals being put forward are impossible. Its very interesting to read the discrepancies from the spoken word to the subtitles and translations into English.

Sorry, 76 not 60 years ago. Time gets away...
-
Easy to knock the Greeks, but who handed out the largest ever loan to a country that was already broke. Germany appears to have forgotten what she cost the world a mere 60 years ago.

Hi DSL, my approach is to list anything that i know will struggle to sell at the minimum price that i'm happy with, that way if i get 1 bid i can live with it. In saying that i don't sell coins on Ebay, but i have only ever had 2 unsold lots out of over 800 listings. Rob also makes a very valid point, way too many listings in the coin categories. Regards Michael.

All arguments about grade and TPGs aside, I really enjoy both the coins and photos that BRG5658 brings to this thread. Love to see a few more tokens.
