    Stamped Threepenny Bit

    I have a 1943 threepenny bit which is heavily stamped on the reverse (non-head) side with an "A" 12mm high. Is this some recognised stamping, perhaps for some wartime application? If so, is the coin rare enough to set a price on it? terry
