  1. ah QE, as simple as that.....I was impressed by the price that 10 Roubles went for yesterday. People do have a great deal of money...given QE has been going for a while (and in my opinion will go on for a while yet) has this been happening for some time?
  2. forgive me if my questions are foolish, but do you think that the prices some of these coins are going for is a reflection of the draw spink has as a brand/the quality of their grading/the scarcity of the top quality coins they have on offer/or their low estimates?
  3. watching yesterday and today. Elizabeth I, milled coinage, 1561-70, Shilling £3300?! was that expected?
  4. Just to share my experience, they called me on time, but then the line was so bad that I asked them to call me back! missed a few lots unfortunately. On the first day I thought it would be fun to try and get the 1981 seven sided test 25 pence coin, but it went for £600....!
  5. Hi folks , I'm totally new to this so forgive any future foolish questions. I've literally started a few months ago, although i have bought a few coins from some of you on here! This is a great forum by the way, thoroughly enjoying reading and following all the conversations. I'm giving auctions a go. Have used sale room.com for some (it's a bit addictive), but I live abroad so have to be careful as postage and packaging and kill the price. I've also put in some absentee bids via email for londoncoins, and given them another list of lots that they will call me on so I can bid live via the telephone. They said they will call me a few lots ahead, so not sure if that helps you at all. I'll let you know how it goes.
